*Olivia's POV*
Since Blake had been gone, I'd been a little moody and I had wierd cravings like pickles and chocolate. I didn't want to believe it but I had no choice; the morning sickness was starting to kick in and Elliot couldn't help but notice.
While Elliot was out chasing a perp, I took the opportunity and bought several pregnancy tests, taking them all at once in the bathroom of the precinct. What better place to find out?
The result confirmed my suspicions. I was pregnant. Again. Tears stung my eyes and threatened to escape. I couldn't be pregnant. Not again. My body still hadn't fully recuperated from having Logan, who by the way couldn't even do things on his own. Blake would be going off to college and I'd be left alone. What about my job? I'd have to give that up too because I would have no help. Of course Elliot and I had been having unprotected sex but I never meant to get pregnant.
I wrapped the tests in paper towel and stuck them in a plastic bag, tucking them away in my purse. I'd dispose of them later. I couldn't throw them away at the precinct because we have all kinds of people coming in and out and it was too risky.
After I shed a few tears, I gathered myself and walked out. By that time, Elliot was back at his desk, filling out paperwork. I walked over to his desk and stood by his side, peering down at his handwriting. It was sloppy, but a good sloppy. It was a manly sloppy and I loved that. "Um, El, can I talk to you for a sec?"
He put his pen down and smiled. "Sure babe."
I led him to a vacant interrogation room and closed the door behind us.
"What's this about?" he questioned. I took a deep breath and paced the room. I wasn't sure how he'd feel, especially since I wasn't exactly happy, which made me more nervous. "Babe? You're scaring me. What's going on?"
"I'm pregnant!" I shot back. "Again!" I could no longer hold back the tears. I ran into his arms and he held me tight, whispering words in my ear but I couldn't hear them because I was crying too hard. "Liv," he whispered a little louder. He pushed me away just enough to look into my eyes. "Babe," he smiled, taking my face into his hands. "this is great, can't you see that?"
"What?"
"That's great! I'm happy you're pregnant,"
"You... want to have another b-baby?" I stammered. Why was he so happy? I mean, sure babies are a gift from God but it wasn't like I could take care of two infants at once.
"Livvie, honey, I'll have a dozen babies with you,"
"But I just had Logan and my back isn't fully healed," I cried. "And what about my job? How can we have two kids and manage our jobs? I-"
"Slow down," Elliot laughed. "You're getting ahead of yourself, aren't you?"
"But what about-"
"No buts. This is what we've always wanted; to be a family. If you have twenty more kids, I'll love you and and them. We'll work it out, okay?"
I nodded. Elliot wiped my tears away with his thumbs and gave him a smile. He pulled me in and kissed me deeply. "I love you forever." he whispered.
"Love you more,"
"C'mon, let's get you home."
*
Cregan let us go home early so we stopped for Chinese food and ice cream. Elliot put Logan to sleep then helped me settle down and we snuggled in the couch, watching Save the Last Dance. There was a girl who looked just like Blake and was reminded to ask Elliot if he'd spoken with her. "Ellie, have you heard from Blake?"
