*Olivia's POV*

I lashed out. I lashed out at Blake and it wasn't even her fault. It was mine. Stupid hormones. Everything was staring to get the best of me. The break up with Elliot. The baby. Blake. Life was much easier having Elliot to talk to and comfort me. I did have a right to be upset, right? She'd been gone all day and I had no clue of where she was. I ran my fingers through my hair and knocked on Blake's door. "Honey, I'm sorry." I whispered. No answer. I jiggled the door handle, which just so happened to be unlocked. I was quite sure she left it open on purpose. "Baby girl?" I walked in. Blake was in fetal position, clutching her pillow. "Blake?" I knew she wasn't asleep. "I know you're not sleeping,"

"How do you know?" she asked, confirming my suspicions.

"Because," I sat down on her bed not too close but close enough to let her know that I was there. "you don't sleep on your side. And you don't hold your pillow when you're asleep."

Blake shifted further away from me. "Baby girl, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have flipped out like that. I was afraid. I didn't know what to think." I paused, remembering the last time she didn't call me. "You know, the last time you didn't call, you got kidnapped."

"Can you just stop thinking so negatively for once? All you ever think about is protecting me and about me getting hurt."

"That's my job, honey."

"No mom!" She jumped out of bed and onto her feet. "Your job is to listen to me! You wouldn't even listen!"

"Blake-"

"You jumped down my throat without a reason!" Things were starting to heat up again and I didn't like it. It wasn't good for us and it wasn't good for the baby.

"I have every right to be upset with you! You never called and-"

"My phone was dead! Believe me, I tried!"

Ouch. That's what you get for not listening, Olivia. "Well-"

"I was out with Bentley and you know what, mom!? We had fun! He didn't rape me, he didn't touch me, he didn't beat me or whatever else you think could possibly happen to me!"

"Blake! Calm! Down!" I was on the verge of tears again. Normally I wouldn't dare cry over yelling but I just couldn't take it.

I could see that she was startled by the loudness of my voice and she sat back down, her back facing me. We sat in silence for a few minutes and then I heard sniffling.

"I'm sorry, okay?" I said as gently as I possibly could. She nodded. "I'm sorry for yelling at you and I'm sorry for not listening. Please don't be mad at me."

"I-I'm not mad," Blake choked. A part of me wasn't so sure about that though. "I just- I wanted you to hear me out and when you didn't, I got mad. I'm sorry."

Blake crawled over to me and wrapped her arms around my distended waist. We stayed that way for awhile.

"Babe, I don't like fighting with you but you gotta let me know next time,"

"That's what we're supposed to do though, right? Mother and daughter?"

I smiled. "Sure," I played with her hair a little. "So who'd you go out with?"

"Bentley."

"Ben- Who?" I was starled. I thought he lived two or three hours away. Furthermore, she was alone with him!? No way was I about to let that go down.

"Yea. Bentley. We went to the mall and then to a skateboarding place. I had so much fun!"

Calm, Olivia. Just be calm. I forced a smile. "You guys didn't do anything, did you?"
