*Blake's POV*

The day before, Sam and I went shopping and since I accidentally left my money at  home she paid for everything. I didn't want to call Olivia or Elliot because I'd have to make up a story as to why I needed the money since we weren't supposed to leave Sam's house anyway.

"I'll do your make up," Sam said.

We were getting dressed for the party. She had on a red fitted dress that stopped just above her knee, paired with black pumps and black jewelry. Kimmie, her hairstylist, lightly curled her hair.

I was dressed in a fitted black dress that stopped mid-thigh. I paired it with royal blue wedges that I borrowed from Sam. Kimmie parted my hair down the middle and I wore it bone straight. I accidentally told her that we were going to a party so I had to find a way to cover it up. In the end, we had to almost beg Kimmie not to rat on us. I told her that it was a dance at the high school and the teachers were going to supervise it. Sam taught me that one.

I felt pretty bad because of my outfit. It was my little act of defiance towards my parents. I knew if either one of them saw what I had on, I'd be dead meat. But they'd never know, so what did it matter?

After I put on lipgloss and eye liner, it was time to go. "Got everything?" Sam questioned.

"Yeah. I'm gonna leave my phone though,"

"Wait, why?"

"My parents. They're detectives, which means they have unlimited access to tracking devices. See where I'm going with this?" She nodded. "I'll leave my phone here because I know they'll try to track me. That way they'll at least think I'm here."

"Ahh, gotcha,"

We hopped in Sam's red Porsche and drove to a big mansion down the street. Music blasted from the inside and neon lights lit the house. "Whoa," I gasped.

"Bentley's friends are filthy rich."

"I know,"

"I told him the whole story, how I'm getting you here and everything,"

"You did what!?" Bentley wasn't supposed to know that. He was a good boyfriend, which meant he encouraged me to obey my parents at any cost. If he knew I was there, he'd flip the lid.

"I told him-"

"W-what did he say!?" I interrupted.

"He didn't believe me. Said you'd never sneak out or 'do such a thing.'" She rolled her eyes and parked the car.

"Well he's got another thing comin'," I got out the car and walked to the front door with her. The glass door changed colors to the beat of the music. "I know my boyfriend like the back of my hand and if you told him my mom said no, he's gonna be mad that I showed up anyway,"

"He's a good boy, but why?"

"His parents aren't in his life so he thinks I'm the luckiest girl in the world since my parents actually care about me." I responded, with a roll of my eyes.

"Ya kinda are," she whispered in all seriousness. I looked over at her to see her eyes glossed over. "I never shoulda brought you here."

"Sam, don't do that to me," I whined. "We're here now! I'm seventeen for goodness sake! Let's have fun,"

"Blake I really should turn around and go home. What if something bad happens to you? I mean, you're my little sister and if anyth-"

"Ugh!" I was getting fed up with people always trying to protect me. First my mom, then my dad, then Bentley, now my best friend. I needed someone I can just let loose with. I wanted to party and so help me God, that's what I was going to do. "Sam, just stop, okay? We're literally at the doorway to this party and I'm not turning around," I pounded on the door with my fist, only to have Sam remind me that it was open. "Somebody, anybody let me have some fun for once in my life!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands in the air.
