You watched him go. You contemplated going after him, you were so mean to him, you had to. You quickly climbed down the ladder and looked for Gally who was out of sight. You looked around not bothering to look into Thomas's and Teresa's direction, Gally was right.
You finally spotted him walking near the forest. You jogged over to him and stopped when you heard, "So stupid, you're so stupid, Gally." He walked around anxiously. You shook your head and walked closer, "Gally?" Your voice came out as a whisper but he still managed to hear it.
He whipped around and faced you. Immediately he looked at the floor sheepishly. His cheeks clearly a bright pink.
"I'm sorry, Gally. What I said back there, it was horrible of me to say." You told him. You rubbed your arm and looked over at him. He lifted his head slowly and sighed. "It's okay, what I said, I-uh it was just to make you feel bad." He lied. Once again he let his head hang low.
You felt your heart sink, but why? You took in a deep breath, instead of "I get it" you said, "why are you lying to me?" You badly wanted him to be lying to you. His head snapped up and looked at you carefully. His cheeks, once again, we're turning pink.
"I-I just..well.."
"What is it, Gally? Spit it out." You said.
"It's embarrassing. I confessed my love for you when it's obviously unrequited."
"I'm so sorry." You muttered. You looked at the ground, embarrassed.
"Hey, no worries. It's fine, I knew it wasn't so it's not your fault or anything. I uh have to get going though, I'll see you around." He walked passed you. You stood staring at the tree that was behind him for a few seconds. Your heart felt suddenly 100 percent empty and it wasn't because Thomas wasn't yours anymore. A part of your heart is just walking away.
"Gally, wait!" You turned around but he was gone.
