Stubborn (The Scorch)

You're burning up. You've tried to exit but It's too hot to exit the building where you just witnessed two deaths.

"C'mon." Newt says pulling you with him. He takes the towel off his own head and hands it to you. "Put it over your head and run." He says. You shake your head.

"What about you?"

"I'll be fine." You look at him and shake your head again.

"No, we can share. I don't have to cover myself completely."

"I said it's fine, y/n. I need to keep you safe, and it's burning hot out there if you expose yourself even a tiny bit you could burn to death." He said frustratedly.

"Then I'm not going! I know you want to protect me, but I'm not going to walk around covering myself completely knowing I could share and you'd be boiling." You crossed your arms. The other Gladers including Thomas, and Minho were ahead walking. You and Newt were still arguing inside the building.

"Fine! You're so stubborn y/n!" Newt says giving in.

"I know, but my stubbornness could probably save your booty. Now, here." You put half the towel over his head and finally begin to walk.

"I can tell you are rolling your eyes at me, don't." You tell him.

He breathes out but chuckles lightly. "Who else like you?"

"No one, I'm the only me." You smile even though you know he can't see you.

So, I will be writing in other settings too, but I will make sure to put it in the title so that I don't spoil TST nor TDC (sorry i spoiled the saddest part ever already, I should've warned :( ) thank you for commenting though! It really helped (:
