"He will totally fuck you."
•••Justin's POV
After I dropped Victoria off at her apartment, I went into the office. I dreaded it because it was supposed to be my day off. I had to suck it up since I had trust issues when it came to business, my business. Helena was the best of the best, but at times she showed that she couldn't handle everything and this was one of those times. I wasn't mad at her, I was just highly annoyed because I wanted to relax before my big party.
"Justin, I didn't know what to do," Helena looked at me with sadness coating her eyes and embarrassment hinting her cheeks. "Mr. Jishka wanted the money right then and there and I told him that he needed to wait, but he-"
"Helena," I placed my hands on her waist to get her to stop talking. She always went mute whenever I did that. I think because in a way she liked it, but we had a different type of relationship...professional. "It's okay. You did what you thought was best. I wish it all didn't happen, but he was asking for way too much anyway and the deal was faulty from the beginning."
She looked at me through her lashes as she let out a heavy sigh, "What are you going to do now? He was one of our best clients."
I pulled on her hips and brought her closer to me before sliding my hands up around her back to give her a hug. I knew she needed it for reassurance, I also needed it because I felt bad for yelling at her over the phone on my way over, which I quickly apologized. I was temporarily angry. "His loss. There will be more people like him."
She nodded into my neck, "I'm sorry."
"Stop saying that. It's fine, Helena." I rubbed her back for a few seconds then let go and sat on the edge of my desk, placing my hands behind me. "You're tense. Go get a massage or something."
"But I just messed everything up. I deserve to be tense," she crossed her arms over her pronounced chest. Her figure didn't go unnoticed, but I wasn't attracted to her because of it...or at all for that matter.
"I hate when you do that," I said quietly. It seemed to get her to calm down when my voice was soft. Sometimes I had to treat her like my baby sister because she was so fragile. Don't get confused, though. She could be a real hardass, she didn't take anyone's shit like not even mine.
"I can't help it! You know I get like this when things go wrong and I'm the part to blame."
I motioned her closer and she stepped just before me, letting her thighs touch my knees. I gently grabbed her chin, "I'm not blaming you, Helena."
"Okay," she whispered and I dropped my hand to my lap, clasping it with my other. She stepped back a little, "So how are we going to fix this?"
"I got Ryan and Xavier on the job so you have nothing to worry your pretty little head off."
"Thank you."
My eyebrows rose, "For what?"
Her hip poked out as she shifted her weight to her left leg, "Being nice to me and not treating me like a piece of shit even though I know I fücked up."
I laughed because she never really cursed, which was one of the things that I liked about her. When she was mad, her vocabulary skyrocketed and she just sounded sophisticatedly pissed. "Well you know I'm not a mean person and I try to treat everyone with respect. Yes I am the boss, but I'm not an asshole. I care about you, Helena. You get me whatever I need, you have my schedule set up, you handle my business when I'm not here. You're the best. Thank you."
