Henry-Inheritance

I glanced down at my watch. Its been two hours since I last took a break. Its been too long. Much longer isn't safe, especially since I am not used to this form and things are different here. Pressure, weight, speed, and momentum. Life is different. I start to grow. Apparently, after I was born my parents believed that I would want the ability to shrink and grow, they assumed that I wanted wings too. WINGS of all things! Did they ask me? No, of course not! What kid wouldn't want to be superhuman? Apparently I am one of a kind. So they gave me my "gifts". Somehow dad found someway to give me the ability that the Pym particles gave him, only without the Pym particles. And I guess my mother suggested I would want wings like her's.

I figure that if there was a way to give me the powers there has got to be a way to remove them. I guess I'm just lucky I didn't inherit the ability to speak to ants. That would have been messed up.

"Henry! Henry? Are you up there?"

"Coming Ms. Evergreen."

She always wants me to come down and socialize. Supposably social activity is "good for kids like me". That's what she doesn't understand, There are no kids like me. I take a quick look in the mirror in my room to make sure I look presentable. I don't normally care about my appearance because the only members of the human race that I have contact with are on the internet." My hair is tousled and my hoodie has a stain on it from that Coke I drank last night. It doesn't matter. My wings are hidden. That's all I care about. I take one last look at my room and close the door behind me.
