Bloom's POV

"Bloom, I don’t want to be magical anymore!" Calissa blurted out suddenly, snapping me from my thoughts. I turned to look at her, concern etched on my face.

"Calissa?" I said softly.

"Look at me, Bloom! I can’t do anything. I'm a mess!" she cried, burying her face in her pillow. Her voice broke, and tears streamed down her face.

"Calissa, feeling overwhelmed is nothing to be ashamed of," I reassured her, gently stroking her back.

Her blue, tear-streaked eyes met mine as she suddenly asked, "Was it the same for you?"

I hesitated, unsure how to answer. "Then Mom... she can break my shields? What if she’s in danger?" Calissa whispered, her voice trembling.

I nodded, unsure how to comfort her. "Is everyone after my power? Was it like that for you as well?" she asked again, her voice laced with despair.

I couldn't help but chuckle softly, causing her to smile through her tears. "Yeah, people always tried to take my power," I began. "First, the Trix. That’s how I found out about everything. Then, in my second year, I turned evil and even gave away the Codex. In my third year, I had to face Valtor, who also destroyed my world when I was a baby. Then, when we started teaching, I was almost captured by the Wizards. Should I continue?" I gave her a gentle smile.

Calissa chuckled weakly. "No, I understand," she said, a small smile returning to her face. Seeing her smile again brought relief to my heart.

"How did you cope?" she asked hesitantly.

"Calissa, you’ll learn—" I began, but she interrupted me, embracing me tightly.

"If I survive," she mumbled softly.

"Calissa?" I pulled back slightly, looking at her in confusion.

"I... I didn’t tell them everything," she admitted, her gaze fixed on her hands.

"Calissa, please tell me," I urged, my tone pleading.

"My dream..." she hesitated. "In the end, I moved away." Tears began streaming down her cheeks.

"What do you mean?" I asked, shocked.

"Please, don’t tell anyone!"

"Calissa, this is important," I insisted.

"No, Mom and Dad—I can’t hurt them..." she sobbed. Then, trying to change the subject, she asked, "Are you hungry?"

"Calissa!" I pressed, unwilling to let it go.

"Bloom, I don’t want to talk about it. Maybe it was just a dream," she said softly. I nodded reluctantly, sensing how fragile she felt.

"Can I ask how?" I began, but she looked away, unwilling to answer.

Calissa's POV

"I love you so much!" I suddenly shouted, feeling overwhelmed.

"I love you too!" Bloom replied, scooping me into a hug.

"Bloom, maybe I’m right. Maybe it was just a dream," I said, noticing tears glistening in her eyes.

“All I know is... the world was ending. The Great Converse wasn’t enough. Everyone was fighting. Then, to save everyone, I had to transform back into my old self to make a wish. I had these big, white angel wings, not like the form I have now. They were massive, covering everyone for protection,” I explained softly, my voice trembling.

Bloom hugged me tightly. “So, want to go back?” I asked, feeling her still holding on.

“Oh, yeah!” she laughed, her voice lighter now. I laughed with her, and as she let go, I kissed her cheek.
