Haymitch's POV

Katniss and Peeta's interview seemed to be going well. I promised him I would stay at the sidelines in case he showed any signs of having an attack then I could get him straight out of there but he was doing amazingly well considering. I was watching their interview on the screen at the side of the stage when Effie came up and hooked her arm in mine.

"They're doing amazing." Effie says as she stops to stand with me.

I sigh, "it's not that I'm worried about darl."

"I know its not, but you don't need to look so on edge. I mean look at the both. They're happy, smiling and talking about being engaged. You can rest easy."

"You're right Eff. But I'm still going to stay here and watch. I just need to know they're OK," I promised Katnkss I would always be there to protect her as well as my promise to Peeta so it strengthens my need to stay even more.

"Off course sweetie, then I'll stay right here with you." Effie says giving me a quick kiss on the cheek.

We both stand and watch as the interview goes on ...

"They're so cute aren't they folks?" Caesar announces to his audience before turning back to talk to Katniss. "Katniss my dear, what will you do for your dress now Cinna is no longer with us?"

That will set her off. As if she isn't hormonal enough as it is asking her about someone she was so close to just puts me back on edge as I watch her, but Peeta answers for her giving her a chance to calm down

"Finding a dress will me the tough bit for her I think Caesar. She fell in love with Cinna's designs from the very first one, all the way back for the chariot parade of our first games and for Katniss to find a dress that she loves that is not one of Cinna's designs will take a lot of hard work." Good save boy. I turn away from the screen a moment and peer out onto the stage where I catch Katniss turning and smiling to Peeta. Good, I'm glad she's OK. That's one hurdle down although how many more there will be I do not know.

I look back at the screen and Caesar has staryed to talk again, "Now that I can believe. Finding the perfect dress can be tough, Cinna knew this himself. Well my dear I wish you all the luck in the world in finding your dress ... Just make sure you let us see!" Caesar laughs.

"Oh I'm sure there would be quite a few pictures taken, especially if we let Effie loose on it!" I turn to Effie and see a smile stretch across her face.

"Do you think they'll let me? I mean really?" I can't help but laugh at how excited she is over it.

I kiss her forehead and smile at her, "They'd be daft not too darlin." But she has oirs to plan first I think to myself.

"Ha ha! Now that would be a sight to behold. Dear old Effie Trinket, escort turned wedding planner!" Caesar exclaims. "I love catching up with you two its just great!"

"Well Caesar there is one thing that we wanted to say whilst were here..." Peeta says. Oh hear it comes the big announcement.

"Oooh do go on..."

"Well there will be a new Mellark soon... And its not me just yet," Katniss says.

Caesars jaw drops, "Are you saying what I think you're saying Katniss?"

"Oh I don't know what do you think I'm saying Caesar?"

"Are you? No way. You're pregnant arent you? I don't know if its more of a surprise now or the last time you told me." The smile on her face disappears within seconds. She's thinking about the last time.
