After the team learns that their fearless leader Shiro survived the fight against the evil Zarkon and welcome him back to reassume his position Lance ultimately assumes the worse: That Keith would want his lion back and Allura would keep blue as she shows remarkable progress with it. Feeling useless to his team he secretly takes an escape pod and tries to go home back to earth on his own, wondering if everyone's lives would be better off without him. Coincidentally during his journey through space his pod stumbles upon a rift into an alternate reality. A reality where he never existed. It is in that reality that Lance truly learns how valuable he is to his friends. -I'm so sorry for any grammar mistakes I miss or if something in the story sounds really wrong... The world is in catastrophe. One night everyone is partying, and the next their fending for their lives against what they thought to only be possible in movies. The dead have risen, and America has shut down. Military personnel have been unheard of, and everyone must fend for themselves. It was supposed to be spring break. Two boys bonding on a trip, ready to head back to college while the rest have already done their travels and arrived back on campus. But sometimes things need to be shaken up a bit.

A high school/ modern AU. Keith life has been awful so far. Shiro, Matt, and Sam are all pharmaceutical scientist that all work together. They went to Harvard University and found a cure for cancer. All three separately go around the country as guest speakers for events and schools. One day, Shiro happens to be a guest at Keith's school. Meeting Shiro was a turning point in Keith's life that only led to more turning points. With the path Keith is heading down, he runs into a certain blue-eyed Cuban boy.

Lance had joined his family back for summer vacation, and he was pumped! Not only he would see his whole family for the summer, but he would be able to go to the beach every day! There had been recent unknown creatures seen around the coast and all the theorists had swarmed the sands, making Lance quite annoyed. But his curiosity from following a shadow in the waters brought him to a relaxing area, hidden from the rest of the beach. As he lays on his surf board everyday he starts to get suspicious, with sudden movement in the water and seeing shadows around the pool of water. Keith had been spotted multiple times from coming closer to land, he had been chased out of his pod 10 years ago from sharks and hasn't found them since. He had been trying to get into another pod for years now but had always been kicked out eventually. But to his luck he had brought a human to the area he had been living for a year. But as he had seen the boy each day, he had started to get attached. What will Zarkon do when he realizes that his hardest planet to take over and the very weapon he wants are working together against him?
