Chapter 7

Day 1:  Eastbell,Icewynne,Some back alley God knows where,Probably gonna die,Dark Hour

It was official, Nova was going to die. And the only regret she had was that she wasn't able to flick off her teachers at that stupid boarding school her parents sent her to. Speaking of her parents, she really had some colorful words for them as well. It hasn't even been one day and already they had shipped her off to some parallel universe where everyone wanted her dead, she was talking about the school by the way. Oh yeah and then there was this place too; she much rather preferred this strange psycho trip as opposed to school, even if she was just seconds from her death.

"Hey! This isn't your turf and you know it! Get out of here all of ya. Now!"

Nova's head whipped around.

The voice came from a woman. She had dark brown skin, and mint-green hair in a short pixie cut. Her eyes were an aqua blue and her bodysuit glowed a deep violet. She was at least a few centimeters shorter than Shadow, yet still, the six men she had her eyes fixated on were cowering in their blood red suits.

"Shit! Let's get the hell out of here!"

"Make a run for it dammit!"

They all took off in separate directions. Nova thought for a second. If the six of them took off at the sight of this person, then she must be even worse news. Nova glanced over at Shadow who must have been thinking the same thing because he too prepared himself to make a break for it.

"If you two even think about running I will slam both of your heads into that wall and you will be nothing but threads of mana."

The two gulped and stayed put.

"Do you have any idea how much damage you two have caused?"

"No ma'am, but I have a feeling you're going to tell us"  

Nova kicked Shadow in the shin for his unruly comment.

"Ouch!"

"No ma'am." Nova corrected.

The woman sucked her teeth.

"Theft of a vehicle no to mention my vehicle, destruction of public property, unauthorized possession and usage of a firearm need I go on?"  

"Nah I think ya got everything"

This earned Shadow another kick in the shin.

"Gyaaa! Damn that hurts!"

"We're terribly sorry and we'll pay for any damage that we may have caused"

Shadow glanced at her and whispered. "Oh yeah? With what currency?"

Nova glared at him dangerously. Shadow put his arms up in defense.

"Hey hey! Just saying."

She relaxed and returned her attention to the woman.

"Look this may sound completely bizarre and I understand if you don't believe us, but the two of us just got here, we have absolutely no idea where we are. We kind of just...woke up."

She glanced at Nova...then her eyes darted to Shadow. She nodded, her eyes softening.

"...Come with me."
