I am so glad to hear that Bryke are no longer going to be involved with the live action adaption of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

"But wait, they're the creators, so isn't that a bad thing? Isn't that what happened the last time?"

No, that's not what happened the last time. Bryke were never not a part of the live action move like they tried to claim when everything went south, but we've in recent years learned that the person the claimed was to blame wrote a script that was originally length wise what one would expect from one of the Lord of the Rings movies only to be cut down slightly by him, then ended up edited two more times by a ghost writer – the ghost writer most likely being Bryke, given the fact Katara looks like Katara from the pilot.

Seriously, all of the problems with any of the series is on Bryke and the fact they think they're good writers when they're just good artists. People have come to realize the reasons for the series success lies with people outside of Bryke, but I personally think Nickalodeon – which owns the copyright – not Bryke, have gotten fed up with them and aren't letting them have anything more to do with the universe.

Or, at least I hope this is the case, given the fact they're the ones who thought removing Katara's agency starting with the ending and moving forward into the comics and LoK was actually okay. There are sound articles out there pointing out that Aang's behavior towards Katara is not only sexist, but was rewarded because Katara is seen as a trophy for Aang because he is the Avatar.

All of this bled over into Voltron: Legendary Defender, but I honestly believe a couple of individuals learned that whole toxic work environment for which they were let go and thus decided to revenge by tacking a dump on the final season – openly admitting I might add that they could have done worse – from Bryke. After all, we've seen how nasty they could be with fans, but do you really think they want another VLD on their hands?

Let's get it through our heads that the version Bryke wants – despite saying it would be completely true to the original – is one where Katara's agency is further removed just as it was in the live action movie.

Sure, it still may not end well, but – I'm glad, so ever glad.

Oh, as for the source where they were all fine and dandy with the movie, I refer to the documentary about making the movie which aired before the movie aired on Nickelodean which I've always suspected a lot of fans have never watched whereas I watched it before the movie coming out and thus never once believed them when they claimed they weren't at fault.

They were, but oh do they like to deflect fault.

Fandom also needs to get over the idea that Bryke's the "word of god" when it comes to the show, because they're not the copyright holder, but we now know certain elements like Toph and Azula being male were their original idea only to be changed by someone else.
