Being Indian American feels like living in a pressure cooker wrapped in a smile. You're told to be perfect, productive, palatable - never loud, never intimidating. But travel to India, and you'll meet folks who are bold, stylish, confident, and unapologetically gangsta. DEAR DIASPORA, YOU'RE NOT THE MAIN CHARACTER is a sharp, personal callout - not to India, but to the suffocating performance of "representation," perfectionism and intraracial competition that dominates Desi life in the West. This isn't a sob story - it's a truth bomb. A cultural essay that demands real freedom, not filtered branding. If you're ready to sip some realness, break free from the cage of expectations, and find your max pro aura - this is for you. 🍋 Bold. Tart. Sweet. Unfiltered. 🍋 Just like a glass of limeade on a hot day.

Hi, I'm Ciara - I write about motion, memory, and healing. "These are the pieces of me that never made it into conversations." Notes on Life & Movement is a series of reflections told through journal-style prose and poetry - tracing survival, softness, and self-discovery. Each volume explores a different part of healing: the heart, the past, and the quiet moments in between. If you've ever felt unseen but kept going anyway, you'll find yourself in these pages. 🚫 Copyright Notice: This story and all related entries belong to Ciara Miles. I grew up quiet - not because I had nothing to say, but because no one ever listened. "These are the quiet moments I never said out loud - memories, realizations, and pieces of healing written in motion." Notes on Life & Movement is a series of reflections told through journal-style prose and poetry - tracing survival, softness, and self-discovery. Each volume explores a different part of healing: the heart, the past, and the quiet moments in between. This isn't about pity. It's about remembering. About hearing the child I once was and telling her, "You made it." Volume 3 is coming soon!!!! I Think I Love Myself?! is a coming-of-age story told through a collection of journals about love, written by a first-generation immigrant and eldest daughter (the elusive N.R.M.). Each entry ladders back to the question we all wrestle with at some point: I love myself... well, I think I love myself?! Loving yourself sounds obvious. We're told to love others as we love ourselves, but love is a question mark and an exclamation point, sometimes at the same time. Each journal in my larger collection captures a conversation with every version of myself (past and present), from 14 year old me to 29 year old me. Chapter Outline: 1. Genesis 2. High School Years 3. Undergraduate Years 4. Postgraduate Years 5. Mid-to-late 20s
