In short, the couple months following that useless heist had fallen rather short of enjoyable. They had fallen incredibly short of the word if everyone was being honest with themselves and with others. Dutch was on edge once again obsessed with bringing in a score. It was an addiction at its worst, not a substance addiction of course but an addiction nonetheless. Dutch Van Der Linde was a junkie for the rush and success of a good heist and didn't seem to care if he drug others down with him.
It was partially Celina's fault, she figured that Dutch had fallen off the wagon again. How one may wonder? Well, she thought it rather simple. She had agreed from the start that they could afford one good heist every three years. Why not? She hadn't taken into consideration at the time that once every three years would be enough for the lifestyle to grab Dutch by the balls again.
She hadn't considered every time after a three year anniversary arrived that he would go on one heist and have such a hell of a time stopping at that and going back to a quiet life. Everyone had thought it a good idea. Everyone had been stupid and now everyone was paying the price.
Sure, even if they agreed to never go on a heist again upon moving into their home Dutch would probably still be having the same problem. Heck, his problem might even be worse if he couldn't satisfy his crave for a score every few years. Telling Dutch he could never rob again, was like telling a dog he could never roll in the mid again. It would just make them want to do it more.
Celina could see some argument in Dutch's current proposition. The train heist had not gone as expected whatsoever. They hadn't brought in a penny. Dutch blamed that on her- she blamed it on Dutch for not taking the time to properly check out the passengers and the odds of their wealth before rushing in. Innocent people had been killed, and for what? Nothing. Nothing. Not even a penny.
Because of the heist being such a disappointment all around, Dutch had proposed they go on another one. Reluctantly, Celina agreed and they had hit up a stagecoach the next week. It had been carrying a decent amount of money, about a grand. It had been good. The gang had been happy and was ready to go back into retirement.
They were back in retirement for three short weeks. Those three weeks was all it took for Dutch to come up with another heist. Go up north away from the property where no one would possibly follow them back from and hit a rich family's home. Apparently one of the girls had caught wind of it and had brought it back although unintentionally, right into Dutch's ears.
That girl was Karen and Celina had never been more irritated with the woman.

"So, I've been scoping out a house." Karen started despite the look of irritation on Celina's face at the mention of scoping.
Celina threw her hand up to stop her, "Look, I don't care what you saw or what you heard. We're done. So keep it to yourself."
"It's the house up north of us by about an hour." She continued despite the fact that the information was clearly unwanted. "I caught wind of it while I was in town and I just... I just wish that maybe we didn't have to stay as quiet as we do. The people up there are said to be nasty folk. It ain't like, it ain't like we'd be stealing from nasty people, you know?"
"Karen, please," Celina bit back quietly, not wanting anyone else to catch onto the conversation, "Let's drop this here and now."
It wasn't until then that Dutch spoke, making it known that he had been nearby and heard what the blonde had said, "Oh, I wouldn't be so quick as to drop it."
