Your glowing eyes was all Thanos could find himself staring at as you soared above him.
You closed your right fist and opened your left palm. In one hard punch, you slammed your fist against the palm of your hand.
The burst of blinding light that came out of you exploded like a nuke, covering the entire planet. You couldn't see anything for a long second as you fell towards the ground, landing on your feet.
The fields were destroyed, the hut in shambles. You looked behind you, and your team was standing tall, staring at you.
You turned back to face Thanos, who, with a groan, was pulling himself off the ground, the gauntlet-wearing hand curling into a tight fist. With his other hand, he touched the back of his skull. Pulling his fingers back towards his face, he saw the glistening purple of blood.
"The second Stark to ever make me bleed," he said.
"You try to touch my dad again, and I'm going to lose it," you replied. Tony and Carol flanked you on either side. Rocket took his place on your shoulder, huge gun in hand.
"Bold words from a child," he said.
You shook your head and held your fists out. "I am no child."
Your entire team ran forward, giving everything that they had. They threw everything at Thanos, and took turns protecting one another from the things he conjured using the stones.
You were still walking at a slow pace forward, your fists out, bright light emitting from them. Thanos was using his gauntlet to block your power.
"Rocket," you shouted over the noise.
"On it," he said from your shoulder. He fired his gun - which contained your power, too - right at the gauntlet.
Thanos dug the heels of his shoes into the dirt, sliding backwards as you pushed your power on him.
Your dad flew above you, firing missiles at the ground around him. Rhodes joined in. Nat, Clint, and Nebula worked together to use their weapons and physical strength against him. Then Thor and Carol, on either side of Thanos, starting flying towards him.
You looked at both of them, eyes wide.
This was it. You had to grab the gauntlet now.
"Rocket," you said, unable to hide the uneasiness in your voice.
"It's all right, Stark. You got this." He hopped down off your shoulder, gun still up. He stopped firing for just a minute to look at you. "I'll be right behind you."
You shook you head. "What if I fail?" you whispered.
"I think we both can agree that you don't have time to start thinking about that. But I saw what you can do. You gotta get this done."
"Stay right behind me," you pleaded.
"Hey." He touched your leg. "I ain't goin' to leave you. You're all I got."
You smiled warmly at him, then turned towards Thanos, still hitting him with everything that you had. Rocket walked a few feet behind you.
"Die, purple space chin!" he shouted.
Tony paused right above you. "Kid," he said, his voice popping up in your ear. "You be careful."
You didn't answer, you centered your focus on him.
"I love you," Tony added.
Carol's words echoed in your head. Remember what I taught you. Dig deep and pull from your heart, pull from your chest. Then let it out. You're focusing on what is in your head. Which isn't the wrong thing to do, but you have to find the balance between mind and heart.
