When they got to the school, there was a small party going on in the back.
"Where's the professor?" Jasmine asked as she and Alex walked into Jasmine and Kitty's dorm room.
"He's here, but he offered the party thing. He thinks we deserve one every once in a while since some of us have a hard time with letting the outside world in and all the judging humans." Alex sat back on Jasmine's bed.
"Oh." Jasmine nodded. "I forget that everyone here's mutants. There's nothing wrong, though- with being a mutant."
"Of course not."
"It makes you all... yourselves." Jasmine smiled softly as she looked through her closet filled with clothing.
"You're one too, Jazz." Alex spoke quietly, his eyes locked with Jasmine's for a moment before she broke it and took an item of clothing out of the closet.
"I'm nothing close to how. . . different and special and unique as to the others. They have cool powers, like going trough things and changing televisions when they blink and-"
"You can make holographs, you levitate things, and you're smarter than anyone else I know, possibly even smarter than the professor." Alex cut her off, standing up so he could wrap his arms around her waist.
"I'm not that smart, Alex."
"Yes you are, you just don't know it yet." Alex kissed the space behind Jasmine's ear. "Come on. I want to go to the party."
"Let me change again." Jasmine nodded and went into the bathroom.
She changed into a pair of gray, black, white and teal Aztec printed leggings. A black, silk shirt was added. It fit her loosely, hanging over both of Jasmine's shoulders.
Jasmine walked out of the bathroom, only to retrieve the makeup bag that Kitty had bought for her.
"Damn, did Kitty but you that?" Alex was liking the way the leggings fit Jasmine around her thighs and backside.
"Yeah." Jasmine blushed and nodded as she went back to the bathroom to put makeup on.
She came back out with only eyeliner and mascara on.
"You look beautiful."
"Stop it, Alex." Jasmine blushed and brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"I love you." Alex pulled her into his arms, kissing her forehead firmly.
"I love you." Jasmine held her hands on his shoulders.
