and Ashton was wearing a shirt with a confederate flag on it
and I'll admit I was shocked at first
but then i saw all the tweets of him apologizing and acknowledging what happened
and like
i understand why people are mad
but you gotta remember not everybody is American
and typically if you're not American you're not going to learn about American history
Ashton is Australian
there is a very high chance he had no idea what that flag meant
He made a mistake, he apologized
there's a lot of people grilling him to an extent that it's getting disrespectful to him
oh what a time this fandom is in rn
