Sebastian's POV:
Jae sat across from Sir Hildago in the dining room as I poured them both tea.
"I believe your friend, Sir Daniel, was possessed recently." Roger spoke up.
"Yes. He was." Jae replied. Her eyes were completely on him, probably waiting for him to say something. Maddie sat next to Jae and read over the company paperwork. She suddenly looked up at Roger and shook her head in disappointment. "There must be some mistake." She said. Roger raised an eyebrow in confusion. Maddie gave Jae the paper she had recently read and laid the other sheets on the table. "There was no confirmation about joining each other's companies for better sells." Maddie explained. "What do you mean?" Roger asked.
"She means," Jae began,"we didn't sign any contract at our last meeting. I have no intention of A, changing my regular clothing lines to flashy dress wear or B, selling accessories in another companies business." Jae ripped the paper in half and Roger clenched his fists on the table. "Sorry, Sir Hildago, but we aren't interested in your ideas." Maddie decided. "I really don't see what's the problem." Roger stated. "The problem is your ideas aren't exactly fitting for our company. If you don't have any ideas by two weeks, I'm afraid we won't be working with you." Maddie handed me the papers, and I gave them to Sir Hildago with a smile on my face. "Madame Maddie, I assure you my ideas will help.." Roger said. Maddie shook her head. "No thank you. Maybe more ideas will come soon. Goodbye." Maddie stood up and walked out of the room. "Sebastian, show our guest to the door please." Jae ordered. I sauntered over to Sir Hildago, and he followed me down the hall. "What a waste of time." Roger said as he walked out of the door. "Good day, Sir." I called and watched him enter his carriage.
The carriage trotted down the rocky path, and I entered the manor. Maiden Rose came up to me and bowed. "Sebastian, sir. We have a problem." She said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"It seems Hunter doesn't want to be bathed at all. He refuses to stay still."
I sighed from annoyance. I hate dogs. Why did Jae consider keeping him in the first place? "Alright, Where is Mei Ri-"
"Gaahh!! Bad dog!! Hunter, bad boy!" Mei Rin's voice was heard from outside. Maiden Rose and I hurried outside to find Hunter running after Mei Rin through the garden. "My, he seems quite happy being around Mei Rin." I said. Maiden Rose stared at the huge dog in shock. Hunter suddenly looked over at us. His ears perked up and, he ran toward us. Maiden Rose stood frozen from fright as the huge demon hound came forward. "Now now. Behave yourself." I called and Hunter stopped before us. Maiden Rose sighed of relief. Mei Rin ran over in a hurry. "Sebastian! Hunter won't stay still!" She cried. "Is that so?" I asked.
Such a bad dog he was.
"What's all the commotion out here?" Jae called. She stood beside me and crossed her arms over her chest. "It seems Hunter won't be a good boy and bathe." I informed. Jae smiled, completely amused with the situation. "Come now, Hunter." She called. Hunter shook his head and water splattered on all of us. "Gah! Bad boy!" Mei Rin screamed. Maiden Rose looked down at her soiled dress and sighed. "What a repulsive display." I complained. The huge demon hound wagged his tail happily. Jae laughed at the scene, and I looked at her in utter confusion. She was completely soaked in water, yet she was as happy as ever. "What a playful animal he is!" Jae exclaimed. Jae flipped her hair out of the neat style Maddie had done for her. She rubbed Hunter's nose and laughed. "Madame Jae, what are-"
"Come on Sebastian, you can't be so serious all the time." She complained. I smiled. "I am not a dog person." I stated again. Hunter's tongue rubbed against my arm and I frowned. "Yet, he loves you!" Jae said and smiled happily. "That's right, you have a soft side for Sebby instead." She said. "I remember."
"But you-"
"Ahhhhhh!"
Jae was interrupted by Maiden Denice's scream from the garden. She ran over holding her dress and screaming. "Snakes! Snakes! In the rose bushes!"
Maiden Denice was running over to us in a hurry. "Maiden Denice, please calm down." I said, and she hid behind Sebastian in fear. "Snakes in the rose bushes!" She cried. Snakes? I walked over to the rose bushes, and Sebastian followed me. I suddenly heard a low slithering sound and stopped in my tracks. A snake then jumped out at me with its fangs ready to attack. The snake stopped right in front of my face, and I froze in terror. "Wha-" I couldn't speak, for my mind was completely turned off at the moment. "Snakes indeed, Madame." Sebastian said. He was holding the snakes head between his fingers and stretching the tail back. He pulled the snake from my face and smiled. "Are you alright, Jae?" He asked. I snapped back to reality and nodded. "Yes,yes I'm fine." I replied and stepped back. Sebastian eyed the yellow snake and frowned. "Where on earth did they come from?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders and looked around the rose bush. Wait, didn't Denice say 'Snakes', as in more than one? I stepped back cautiously as another round of hisses came from the bush.
"Sebastian." I called. Snakes slithered from every part of the bush, and I saw, in total, six snakes! My skin felt like a snake was crawling on it and I shook in fear. "Ew!" I cried. Sebastian picked up each one of them and held them by the tail, letting their heads hang. "My, what a mess they make." Sebatian complained as he admired the trampled bushes. I couldn't stay close to him when he was holding these reptiles. "Sebastian, get rid of them!" I ordered and rushed back to the others. Seeing those snakes made my body feel weak and irritated. Mei Rin and Maiden Rose were finally bathing Hunter like they were told. Maiden Denice just stood back and held her body with her arms as if protecting herself from the snakes. "Denice!" I called, and she looked up. "You can have a rest for now. The snakes are gone. I'll ask Maiden Rose to give you some tea as well, when she is finished with Hunter." I rubbed Denice's back assuring my, and she calmed down just a little. "Thank you, Madame Jae." She replied and walked back into the the manor. Snakes. Where did they come from?
"Jae, the reptiles have been disposed of properly." Sebastian called and dusted off his suit. "Thank you." I said and sighed. I thought for a moment. Where could snakes have come from? "Madame Jae?" Sebastian called and I looked up at him. "Yes?" I asked. Sebastian looked at my attire and frowned. "Oh dear, shall we get you into something more appropriate?" He asked. I smiled as my heated up. "Yes, Of course." I followed Sebastian to my room and I went into the bathroom. I grabbed a white towel from the cabinet and wrapped my wet hair with it to dry. I walked back into my room and Sebastian had a blue dress laid out on the bed. "Would you like to where this one, Jae?" He asked. "Yes, it's fine." I replied. Sebastian unzipped my recent dress and it fell to the floor. He placed it in the white bin and touched my corset. His hands rubbed up and down on my sides. "Wh- What are you doing?" I stammered.
"No worries. I'm just making sure your corset wasn't wet." He replied.
"Oh." I felt his fingers trace my stomach and stroke my back. My face heated up, and I bit the inside of my jaw. "I believe it's dry, so we have nothing to worry about." Sebastian said and picked up the blue dress. I stepped into the dress and placed my arms in the sleeves. I can't stop thinking about the snakes we found. Where did they come from and how did they get here? Maybe I'm just thinking too hard to see the answer. Sebastian zipped up my dress and paused. "Jae, are you okay?" He asked. "Yes, just thinking." I replied and he smiled. His hands gently untied the towel above my head and gently stroked my hair, drying it thoroughly. "Didn't Sir Gregory say they had a new shipment of snakes at the shop?" Sebastian suddenly asked. "Yes, he did. Shall we head there now?" I asked. "It is your decision." He replied and dropped the towel in the bin as well. My hair felt completely dry again. I sat in the edge of the bed and held out my right foot. "Stockings?" He asked. I laughed at this. "No!" I said and smiled. I am not going to be tickled again. He gently placed my foot into into a blue heel and did the same to my other foot. I stood up and walked over to the mirror. "So?" I asked Sebastian and placed my hands on my hips. I twirled in the dress and smiled. "Beautiful." He replied.
"And you're not just saying that because I'm your boss?" I asked and tapped his chest playfully.
"Of course not." Sebastian said and gave me a devilish smile. For some reason, everything seemed strange. The atmosphere had changed, but I don't know how. I frowned and looked out the window in the corner of my eye. It felt as if someone was watching. "Jae?" Sebastian called, and I shook my head. "Sorry, I'm fine. Shall we head out?" I asked and walked out the door. Okay, we should talk to Greg as soon as possible.
