oh gosh.

this is going to be an... emotional rant.

carrots are probably one of the things that annoy me most in this world.

i consider a carrot somebody who only knows facts about the boys, but they don't know the boys.

sure, you can tell me that louis' favorite color is red and that he was born on december 24, 1991 and he has six sisters and he's 22 and his middle name is william.

you can tell me that.

but do you spend your days and time scrolling through pictures of him, watching ever video of him on youtube, reading books about him and writing about him and learning who he really is? because i know every fact about him (i've been a carrot, but it wasn't carroty then to be a carrot) but i also know all his expressions and what they mean. he's jealous when he widens his eyes and looks away, making his lips in a flat line. he's happy when he raised his eyebrows and his eyes crinkle up and he smiles really wide. i remember how he talks, he always says, "uh," between his words and he doesn't put much energy into his voice, it's just casual and soft and endearing.

and i bet you a million dollars a carrot doesn't know any of that.

i could write a book about each of the boys, because i've grown up with them. i've been here for four years.

that's another thing.

growing up with them.

you could be born from your mum and be separated for four years, or you could grow up with them for four years. would you really think of them as a mum if you didn't grow up with them? would you love them or care about them as much?

i don't think so.

you weren't there to experience all the moments. like liam's curly hair and larry when they were allowed to be larry. you weren't there for all the stupid trends on the boy's birthdays or each anniversary. you didn't watch the seven hour video for 1dday live. you weren't there when their merchandise was actually recent. you didn't look up leaked up all night songs and listen to them on repeat for days.

so you can say how much you "love 1d" but you don't love them. you love the idea of loving them.

so being a carrot isn't just never calling one direction "one direction" and instead saying "1d" all the time. it isn't just saying the most popular quotes from the video diaries (which i watched when they were actually recent), or saying "amazayn" and having profile pictures of old photoshoots that you can easily find on google because you don't even care about them that much.

carrots are annoying, but i would never hate on them. at least, if this is even hate, not anywhere but here.

if you actually, genuinely, care about the boys, and their well being, then you're not a carrot. if whenever louis cries, you cry too, and when they're happy, you can't help but smile the rest of the day, and you actually get excitement in your heart when they get an award or you hear their name on the radio or the tv, you're not a carrot.

if you love them so much that you spend all your money on them, (you're own money, not your parents money) and you watch every single video that has anything about them in it, you're not a carrot.

i remember the days when i would go through the depths of youtube and watch all their interviews and then i found their channel and i watched every single video.

let's just say, carrots that say they love one direction, but do they really love them?

do they stay up all night trying to break a record for bse or gby or wmyb?

i miss when the fandom didn't even have carrots, tbh.

agree or disagree?
