(If this comes off cliche and/or cheesy I'm sorry but not sorry)
Lily sat tall with her hands in her lap doing her best to act demure. Her recently pressed, light green, dress perfectly clinging to her body as she sat up properly, like her mother had been trying to teach her for years. The only problem being she didn't really listen that well, that's one of the reasons they sent her to finishing school. Currently she was home for Christmas, one of the only times she was allowed home from the school. Her father was making her sit in on one of his business deals with Howard Stark, who seemed to have reluctantly brought his son as well. Tony had also been sent home from school for the holidays, and Howard had no other choice than to bring him with him.
Tony was bored and being the ladies man he is, even if he's only sixteen, started to quietly mock his father. Lily watched from the other side of the board table trying to remain lady like. He winked at her, making a light flush wash over her cheeks as she bit her lip to refrain from laughing. Tony ripped a piece of paper putting it on his upper lip to look like his father's mustache. Lily snorted, laughing loudly, much to her father's disapproval.
"Lilith!" Her father scolded, glaring at her. Tony smiled widely at her, but quickly dropped it when Howard nudged him harshly.
"Excuse me, father. Pardon my outburst, it won't occur again." Lily says looking down at her hands in her lap.
"No, it will not. You are dismissed. Go read a book or knit something." Her father demanded, waving her off.
Lily sighed getting up, smoothing her dress out before opening the large wooden door into the hallway. She walked out closing it behind her.
"Excuse me, but may I use the restroom?" Tony asked watching the door anxiously.
"Yes, of course my boy. Down the hallway to your left, fourth door on the right." Lily's father explained. Tony was already out of the room before he was finished, completely ignoring his directions. He was out here for one reason and one reason only, Lily. She was walking down the hallway towards the only sitting room they were actually allowed to use in their vast house.
"Hey! Wait up!" Tony yelled after her, racing down the hallway towards her.
"Hello." Lily smiles courteously.
"Hi." Tony smirks. "Sorry for getting you in trouble back there. It's just those meeting can get so stuffy."
"So I've noticed." Lily giggles. "That's the first time I've ever been to one and I'm probably never going to be invited to one again."
"Sorry." Tony says.
"It's fine. Honestly I couldn't care less, I hate business men." Lily sighs.
"Me too, all they do is make shitty decision off of statistics that aren't the best for our time period." Tony says.
"That's very true." Lily sighs. "So why are you here?"
"My butler is spending the day helping my mom, so that jackass in there had no choice but to bring me with him." Tony says. "You?"
"My mother wanted a break from me, since all she does is try to correct me and I'm not exactly the best listener, and my father thought it would teach me "intrinsic value". I personally think they are both just annoyed that my finishing school sent me home for the holidays." Lily explains.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure my dad is pissed I'm home as well." Tony sighs.
"Where do you go?" Lily asks.
"I'm staying on the MIT campus since I graduated boarding school last year." Tony says.
"So you're smart?" Lily smiles. "High school graduate at?"
"Fifteen. I'm sixteen now though." Tony smirks.
"Impressive." Lily says looking into his brown orbs.
"I try." Tony smiles averting his gaze, but glances back at her. "So how old are you?"
"Fourteen." Lily smiles back as he brushes a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Fourteen. Hmm...I can work with that." He smirks. "I'm Tony."
"Lily." She smiles.
"That's a very pretty name, flower." Tony smirks.
"Thank you." Lily smiles at the pet name. "Would you like to take a walk on the beach?"
"Well I can't let you go on a walk alone can I?" Tony smiles.
"It would be the gentlemen thing to do." Lily giggles.
"Then shall we, Lily?" Tony says putting his arm out for her to take. She took it with a smile as they started to walk towards the door to the backyard.
