Chapter 7 - Obsessing Over You/You Have A Cold

Jason's P.O.V

          It has been two days since (y/n) and my date. She had a soft cough yesterday probably from the chill in the air but today she had a high fever and a horrible cough. She was being difficult and wouldn't just stay in her bed and rest. She has fallen down 3 times today, I was lucky to have caught her. She let me put her on the couch at least. But she wouldn't sleep, she needs to rest to get better but she won't.
          I know what mom use to do when I was sick but would that still work? (Y/n) looks at me through tired eyes "(y/n) let's get you to bed your fever is probably worse and you look so tired," I try coaxing her to head to bed. She shakes her head hugging my arm closer coughing into my sleeve. The moment I sat down so I could make sure she did not get back up she latched onto my arm and has not let go. She shakes her head as I rub her knee gently. "Please?" I plead stroking her check with the hand she's holding. She frowns but nods softly going to stand up.
I pick her up and hug her to me walking her to her bed. Laying her down gently I lift my mask very lightly over my lips and kiss her forehead as she watches me. Her eyes are closed as she smiles. "I'm gonna go get you soup, stay here and rest," I whisper but she holds my shirt shaking her head. Taking off my jacket I slowly cover her "I will be back, trust me," I whisper softly. She frowns but slowly nods.
Quickly rushing back to the kitchen I heat up a can of soup and grab her tea mixed with honey she had made before I forced her to sit down. Grabbing the soup with a spoon and her drink I head back to her cabin. Entering her cabin I set her soup and drink down on the side table I see her cuddling with my jacket. I smile as I kneel next to her bed stroking her check.
          She leans into my hand "I have your soup, wake up beautiful," I whisper softly. Her eyes flutter open and seeing me she quickly lets go of my jacket blushing. I was about to sit her up when she leans over the edge of the bed coughing heavily I softly
stroke the back of her neck. She stays there long after she stops coughing. I stop stroking her hair and neck "no, don't stop," she mumbles. "You need soup," I whisper trying to sit her up. She grumbles and sits up slowly as I grab the soup.
           I slowly start to spoon feed her even though she was trying to resist me feeding her. "Let me take care of you, I don't want you to spill your food," I tell her trying not to spill out that I was falling for her. She stopped me and took a drink of her tea. "You're so sweet on her, you probably even look like a puppy dog right now," mom compliments. I slowly move closer and whip the tea from her chin. She blushes red and looks down "thank you very much, Jason," she whispers. I hold another spoon full out to her lips. After I feed her I make her lay back down covering her with my jacket again then with a heavy blanket. She slowly falls asleep as I go around closing her windows.
          I hear the soft patter of bare feet on hard wood but I ignore it. She still was not feeling good. She had gotten out of bed and bumped into the couch I was laying on. She was wearing my jacket and had changed into pj's but had no idea what she was looking for. She stares at me confused "why are you sleeping on the couch?" She asks me. "I was watching after you," I explain standing up and steering her back to her bed. "You can't just sleep on the couch though, it's bad for your back," she stares turning back to me. "I can't just leave you alone," I tell her slightly pushing her back to her bed.
I frown as she doesn't move, I don't want to hurt her so I don't push harder. "I can't let you sleep on the couch Jason," she exclaims. Moving around her I lay down on the inside edge of her bed. She blushes and nods laying next to me. I pull her closer feeling her forehead to see she doesn't have a fever. I hug her closer hearing her breathing is back to normal. She giggles and hugs me closer putting her head on my chest. She had me worried all day yesterday and today. So tonight I will rest well hopefully. "Thank you Jason for taking care of me while I was sick, I'm sorry I'm so stubborn," she whispers as we both slowly fall asleep together.
