I was requested to come 2 weeks early to clean up the cabin along with the kitchen and the lunch room. There was much to do, so as soon as I was asked to come up to the camp I packed my stuff into my beat up jeep after checking that I had my tool box and everything else packed I set off for camp. When I hit the town limits I slowed down turning the radio down not to disturb anyone as I started my search for a local store to buy cleaning supplies knowing they might not have enough to clean.
Quickly buying cleaning supplies, mop, and broom. It's odd but it helps to make sure that I really can clean. Getting back into my car I start my small drive to the camp. One small problem I have now that I'm here. I only know the name of the guy who owns the camp and employed me. What he looks like or where he might be located at I have no clue. I had been enjoying the nature so while I looked for Mr. Adam Kinsley I enjoyed looking around at nature and enjoying the fresh air.
I could feel eyes on me as I turned I circles as I slowly walked. Looking towards the tree I see a tall man in warn out pants and shirt with a thick hunting jacket on and huge boots. He was watching me, I couldn't see his face because of it being in the shadows not that it really mattering.
"Hello?" I call out slowly stepping to him curious and pretty confused. "Mr. Kinsley?" I ask walking to him more. He turns his head slightly to the side watching me. He turns and walks away into the forest "Mr. Kinsley?" I question then start to jog to him until I hear a door slam. Turning to it I see another gentleman.
"Oh there you are dear, I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you where I meet you," he says coming and steering me to the cabin he just came out of. "What were looking at dear?" The older gentleman asks "oh I thought I saw a very handsome animal," I answer not really lying since the gentleman really was handsome.
This gentleman was around 30ish or older, he had a scary side to him. It made me shy away from him. I was actually very worried about what he could do since we seem to be here alone together. I do not have the best reputation with a man and being alone with them.Michael
I was in need of a small town with no arguments or 24/7 commotion. Just somewhere quiet that I could write and study my online classes. So when looking online for houses and finding a foreclosed house in a quietish town I jumped at it and bought it. With my father's help I packed up all my stuff into the moving van and went on my way. I had already published a new book so I had time to move. Getting to the new house I saw it was a nice 2 story in desperate need of a paint job. But besides that it was a wonderful house with a nice yard. It was very dark in the house and it looked as those someone had been boarding it up.
Thankfully I had a crow bar in the back of my truck. I make quickish work of the boarded up windows the only ones I had problems with is the upstarts windows. So I guess that meant I was sleeping with lights on for fear of a new house and that someone might be hiding. After unboarding the windows I enter and check every room propping all the interior doors open but the basement. I lock it for good measure because of the "do not enter" sign on it.
Going back out to my truck I bring in the cleaning supplies my mother packed for me since I am a bit of a neat freak and like everything to be at least semi clean. Cleaning up is kind of hard but I enjoy doing it so after opening all the windows in the living room I started to clean up in there where I would be sleeping tonight, very glad there are some blinds in there. The next part was throwing out the old couch and bringing in a few things I actually reach. Like an end table, a chair, a few of my boxes being candles, summer cloths, and my writer stuff.
It was all going very smooth and simple and actually pretty simple. That is until a knife is pressed against my throats and I am staring up into cold but soft eyes.
It's sort of frightening to one second be alone, then the next pinned to a wall with a masked man holding a knife to your neck. I was slightly scared, but I had been in stickier situations than just this very simple one. "Hello?" I ask softly hoping that being calm this person might actually spare me. "May I help you? If you need to stay the night you may. Just please spare me," I whisper softly hoping for anything, words or something.
But it never happened the very tall man just put away the knife and slowly stroked my check with one finger. He covered my eyes so I slowly closed them. I heard a squeak, slowly opening my eyes he was gone. That was when I decided to lock up everything and wedge chairs under the front and back door so nobody could come in.
