"Alright guys, I'll stay with Faelecia, and you guys spread out, got it?" Brendon said sternly, causing all of us to nod.

"Vests on? Guns loaded?" Dallon asked the crew. We all nodded, and then got out of the van. I had to stay with Brendon, which didn't bug me. But as soon as I stepped out of the van I knew this was a bad idea. I just couldn't tell Brendon. He wouldn't trust me after that.

"Stay quiet and just stay beside me." He ordered. I nodded and followed him. A man turned the corner with his gun pointed at Brendon. Before he could even put his finger on the trigger, Brendon had already gotten him right in between the eyes.

"Cmon." He crouched and ran. I followed and watched as he shot someone in the leg, and then shot them in the head.

"Two down, eight to go..." he whispered. He got back up and quickly checked and corner to see Dallon walking away from a dead guy. I nearly gagged. This was absolutely disgusting. But, it was my life now.

"How many have you guys gotten so far?" Brendon asked into a hooked on walky-talky.

"One," replied Dan.

"Three," Dallon stated.

"Two," Kenny said.

"You?" Asked Dallon.

"Two," Brendon said, right before firing his gun at someone running by.

"Three now. We have one more. Meet in the middle guys." He ordered.

"Copy!" They all replied.

"Come on," Brendon grabbed my hand, but soon let go. He stopped to listen closely in a four way hallway of the warehouse. I saw a man with a gun appear in the hallway, and he aimed his gun at Brendon. I looked at Brendon and, in this moment, everything felt like it was in slow motion.

I jumped in front of Brendon, right as the gun was shot. I felt a huge pain cross through my lower thigh, until I realized...

I was just shot in the leg.

I heard another gunshot, and quickly looked to see Brendon had shot the man who shot me. I screamed as loud as I could. Tears streamed down my face as hard as they could, and my voice was going hoarse.

"Meet at isle six! Faelecia was just shot. Mission complete!" Brendon yelled into the walky-talky. I heard multiple footsteps, but they were barely audible over the thumps in my head.

"You're going to be okay! I promise!" He picked me up and ran to the van as the guys followed behind him.

"What happened?" Dan asked once we were all in the van. Brendon was driving as fast as he could while holding my hand. I was writhing in the front seat, and Brendon explained everything to the guys.

"Stay with me!" He shouted. I yelled and squeezed his hand as hard as possible.

"S**t! The bullets still in her leg!" Brendon fumed. The guys in the back were dead silent.

"So, she technically saved your life, right?" Kenny asked.

"Yes Kenny, now shut the f**k up!" Brendon ordered. Kenny rolled his eyes at Brendon's behaviour.

"It... its hurts!" I cried out.

"I know, I know! We're almost there." He said in a calming voice.

~~~
My eyes were slow to open, and reality came back to me. I was shot... I saved Brendon's life.
"Hey..." I heard the soft, but hard voice. I looked over to my right and saw Brendon with a small smile on his face.
"What happened?" I asked, already out of breath.
"Remember? You were shot in the leg... so I brought you here, took the bullet out and cleaned you up. You should be fine now, and you have to use crutches, but it's not that big of a deal." He shrugged. I felt random tears come out of my eyes.
"Brendon...?" I cried.
"Faelecia, what's wrong?" He asked, moving closer.
"I-I don't know. I-I just need a hug or something. I need embrace." He leaned in closer and hugged me.
"Don't worry! It's okay. You're okay! You saved me." I let my head fall into his shoulder, and his hand went up and down my back.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"I moved you into my room, so I could keep an eye on you..." He smiled.
"Thank you... for not letting me die. You're the real hero here!" I squeezed him in the hug. He let go and kissed my forehead again.
"Anything I can serve you?" He asked. I shrugged and then shook my head no.
"I'm fine for now. I just need company." I smiled softly.
"Now that I can do!" He chuckled.
"I wanna go to sleep. I'm still tired and in pain." I stated.
"Before you go, I think painkillers would be good. I'll go get some." He got up and walked to the kitchen. As soon as he was out of sight, the three other guys came in.
"Hey..." Kenny smiled. I waved at them and watched as they sat down.
"We just wanted to apologize for being jerks when it came to you. But I mean, you're a badass! You took a bullet for the team!" Dan said. I looked at Dallon, who smiled at me.
"Yeah, we didn't really have the right to do that. You were braver than any of us last night." He chuckled lowly.
"Guys! I totally understand. You're men of business, I'm just there to assist you." I said.
"False! You were," Brendon interjected. He placed a glass of water and a bottle of pills on the nightstand beside my bed. "That's when I thought you would never actually respect us. Looks like the tables have turned now. We're all praising you!"
He laughed to himself and sat down beside me.
"Point is, you're one of us now." He grabbed my hand and lightly squeezed it.
"You guys... I'm gonna get emotional..." I teared up.
"I've got this," Brendon stated. He wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my back slowly.
"It's fine, just cry it all out." He whispered. I squeezed him as tight as I could.
"Thanks..." I broke the hug. He swiped my tears away with his thumb.
"I can't believe I cried three times in front of you already..." I sighed.
"It was actually four times." He corrected. I looked at him and cocked my eyebrow.
"Thanks!" I cheered sarcastically. The three guys looked at me and then at Brendon.
"Restart? The three of you?" They nodded and we shook hands.
"Hey! What about me?" Brendon complained.
"Nah, I like where we stand!"
