Don't Hide

She was scared.

She was afraid.

She didn't want anyone to see who she really was.

A half neko and half wolf was what she was.

Everyone judged her.

Society would never give her a chance in life.

But one person did.

He was the only person she wouldn't wear her bow in her head for.

He didn't mind seeing her ears.

He thought they were pretty cute.

"One day you're gonna have to take it off completely"

"Wh-Wh-What? Goku...are you crazy? You know how society is. The world is cruel and-i just can't"

"(Y/n)..you have to. You shouldn't hide your beauty from the world"

"What beauty? They look at me as a hideous creature. What is beauty if they can't see it?"

It was true.

One look at you and the world would be frightened.

You didn't want to have that.

You liked how he was the only person to understand.

But this idea of his was somewhat...dumb.

And he knew that.

"(Y/n) don't be afraid"

"I'm not being afraid. I'm being logical. Your being dumb"

"Well thanks...but seriously. The world will notice that cute bow on your head in no-time. So why hide?"

"Because i'm...i'm afraid..."

"Don't be. I'm right here holding your hand (y/n). And i'll never let it go until you let go first"

"Goku"

"It helps me know that you can take care of yourself when it comes to them and i know you can"

"Goku why are you the only person that understands me?"

"I don't know"

He was magic.

The world would judge but you had to let it go sooner than later.

Who cares about the critics?

Who cares what they say?

She did but now wasn't the time.

She had to let them go.

He can't always be her shield and so she made sure he wouldn't be.

"Okay Goku. Tomorrow i'm gonna walk around town with my head held up high and i'll smile. I won't be afraid"

"Good. And i'll be right there"

"I am so thankful for you. I swear...why are you there for me? Why aren't you like the others?"

"Maybe because not everyone are alike. Especially me. I accept any and everyone"

"You accept me huh?"

"I sure do. But i accept you more than a friend"

"I love you too"

Don't be afraid to be you.

Love yourself enough to know that what you're going through will not last forever.

It's just something preparing you for something greater.

Speak out and stand out.

No one can shadow your colors.

They are the things we need in this cruel world to brighten the sky when it's dark.

Don't hide in the closet.

Let it go.

Who's really going to judge you?

The people?

Who cares what they think.

If they weren't the ones to make you wake up this morning

If they weren't the ones to make you live to see another day

Then they don't have anything to say.

Don't be afraid.

Don't feel scared.

Don't hide.

Be you.
