Part 5

Why? What's with this turn of events?

I stood in the arena facing all of team RWBY, I glanced at each of them and saw the determined looks on their faces especially on Yang's and knew that they weren't going to back down.

I sighed and raised my fists.

How did it come to this?

(Flashback)

"Ruby Rose, Wiess Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces, from this day the four of you will be working together as team RWBY. Led by Ruby Rose.".

It didn't really surprise me, she was a natural leader and a skilled fighter despite her age.

Ozpin then turned toward me.

"Lastly Bane, you failed to retrieve a chess piece or find a partner. Under normal circumstances I would have to expel you."

He then clicked on his scroll and then the screen played footage of me fighting the Beowolves and the Deathstalker in the forest.

"But I cannot deny a chance for someone so skilled to become a huntsman. From today on you will be Beacon's first one man team."

I nodded and walked away with Professor Goodwitch, she took me to a room close by the teacher's dormitories.

"This will be yours as of today, if you need anything the other teachers are close by."

"Appreciate the tour professor." As I went in my room I turned back towards her.

"One more thing, you should smile more often, you look lovely when you do."

She blushed slightly and began quickly walking down the hallway.

I organized my stuff and then went to bed, the next day I sat inside my room as I waited for class to start, since I knew that it was combat class soon I began preparing my gear.

As I attached two venom tanks to my back I heard someone knock on the door, I opened it and there stood Yang and Wiess.

"Hey big guy, ready for class?"

I nodded and put my mask in my coat pocket.

"Let's get this started."

We stepped into professor Port's class room and sat down.

(Ten minutes later)

This is pointless

I sat down with Yang asleep on my right, Weiss was sitting on my left listening intently to the story. How she hasn't fallen asleep from boredom is a mystery.

I yawned as I waited for this torture session to be over. I looked over at Ruby and saw her making funny faces at Port.

At least someone's having fun.

"So who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?"

I raised my hand out of boredom.

Anything is better than listening to this lecture go on.

"Ah Mr. Bane, please step forward and face your opponent.

I took off my coat and pulled out my mask, after putting it on I jumped down and landed in the middle of the room with a loud thud.

I turned to face the cage and got into a wrestler stance.

"Let the match.....BEGIN!"

He cut the lock and out rushed a Beowolf, I sidestepped as it tried to hit me. I ran forward and punched it in the chest before flipping over and slamming both heels into it's head in a double axe kick.
