I walked down the hall with my cheer outfit on and my two best friends walking behind me.

All eyes were on me and no matter how often it happened it still made me feel weird.
We got to my locker and i put somethings inside and others i took out.

I closed the locker door and me and my friends walked to Biology . We sat down on our usual  seats and waited for the teacher to come in .

" so , do you have a prom date yet?" One of them asked and i nodded
" Yeah Ricky asked me yesterday" i said smiling

Just then the teacher came in and class began.  Once it was over the three of us made our way to the cafeteria and sat at our usual table.

Just then  this boy with blue eyes walked towards me with a rose and cleared his throat . I turned to look at him and smiled

" Um y/n i was wondering if you wanted to go to prom with me?" He asked shyly
" Sorry Jonah but i already have a date" i said
His expression changed immediately and it broke my heart. I didn't mean to hurt Jonah like that. He is a good guy .

The night of prom finally came and my friends were all getting ready at my house.

Once we were ready we walked downstairs and all met with our dates . My parents took some pictures and the. We were off to the dance.

As we got there we took some more pictures . As we entered the building i saw Ricky make eye contact with his ex girlfriend and immediately grabbed my hand .
At that moment i realized that the only reason Ricky invited me was to make her jealous. I let go of his hand and slapped walking away from him going over to sit at one of the tables.

Soon I felt someone sit next to me. I looked and saw Jonah sitting there looking at me.

" y/n are you okay?" He asked
I shook my head no and stared at my corsage
" What Ricky did was awful and stupid , any one would be lucky to have you as their date" he said
And i smiled looking up at him
" Thanks Jonah , you're really sweet " i said
" Now , lets lose long faces and do me the honors of dancing with me?" He asked standing up stretching out his arm
" wouldn't your date get mad?" I asked
" I don't have  a date " he said
" Oh" i said remembering what happened at the cafeteria
" Well then yes i would love to dance with you " i said standing up grabbing his hand

We both went out to the dance floor and he placed his hands on my hips while mine were on his shoulders

" You look beautiful" he said making me blush
" You don't look too bad yourself" i said making him smile

After a while of dancing in silence i decided to break it and apologized for what had happened at the cafeteria

" Jonah I'm sorry for what i did at the cafeteria , i really am " i continued rambling on about how sorry I was until i got cut off by a pair of lips

I kissed back and then we separated

" its okay , what matters is that you are here in my arms" he said looking me in the eyes
I blushed  and smiled . This was definitely a night that i would always remember.
