A/N: So SO very sorry about the wait. I was out of town with little internet. Everything should be back in order by tomorrow.

He waited. Right there. Just. Waiting. He sat on the cliff overlooking the horizon. His marine coat fluttered in the wind. He clutched his fists looking to the Vivre card in his hand. Garp looked back out at the horizon. He clutched the paper and watched the sun go down.

"Captain Vice Admiral Garp."

He turned to a Tsuru holding a blanket and a small basket.

"I figured you might be cold, and hungry." She spoke.

He nodded taking the basket and blanket. Garp then sat looking out onto the horizon. She sighed sitting next to Garp.

"You can't be cooped up like this for ten days you know."

"Watch me." Garp huffed.

"He will come back, we all know, he will come back." Tsuru said putting her hand on his shoulder.

Garp still looked out onto the horizon, he spun his wedding ring around his ring finger. His heart heavy with the unbearing feeling he would never see his husband again. Garp bit his lip to a point where it almost bled. He waited. He wanted to know. He wanted to see the blood thirsty battle that was over a title. Fleet admiral. Garp supported him to go even if Sengoku was unsure about going. It was him who pushed him to go. But. Was it worth the agonizing pain not knowing if he was okay or not. Garp looked to the Vivre card. It was intact giving Garp some hope. That Sengoku was out there. He was going to be fine.

"Garp."

He turned to Tsuru before back out to the sea. She stood beside him taking his hand.

"It's been three days now Garp. We're worried about you."

Garp didn't say anything. If he even let out a peep, he was sure he was going to break down. Tsuru sighed and turned out to the sea.

"Garp, I know it's hard. But. I'm sure he's fine. He'll be home before you can say pirate."

She smiled and patted his shoulder, she headed down the cliff to headquarters. While Garp wiped away the fleeing tear before he looked back up to the horizon.

"Pirate." His voice cracked.

He looked to the Vivre card seeing it burning slightly in the corner. It pained him, he couldn't help. He couldn't do anything but stand there and wait.

"It's not fair." Garp muttered.

"Garp." Sengoku called.

He turned to find his mind playing tricks on him. Garp stifled a cry as he turned back to the sea. As night fell once more. Tsuru was determined to let Garp come back to headquarters to rest, and bathe.

"Garp!" She called.

This time he didn't turn to her, he stood trembling. He sniffled before he sneezed. Tsuru pursed her lips.

"Come on, let's give you a bath and a nice place to sleep. Then tomorrow you can come back and-"

"No. I have to be here for him when he comes."

"I didn't want to have to do this Garp, but you left me no choice."

He turned to her as she knocked him out with a tree branch. She brushed off her hands and turned to the few marines hidden behind the trees.

"We don't have all night hurry up." She clapped.

They nodded getting Garp back to headquarters while Tsuru looked to the flattened grass were Garp sat.

"Sengoku, you have a good man by your side." She hummed.

She sat in his place, and looked out on the horizon.

Garp sat up in bed and held the back of his head.

"Tsuru." He grumbled.

He got up seeing the sun shinning in his room, he growled a curse before dressing himself and heading back up to the cliff. Tsuru still sat drinking some tea. He stood behind her making her look up at him.

"Garp just in time, I made some tea would you like some?"

"No." he huffed.

"Garp, Sengoku wouldn't want you to be like this. Just. Relax."

"I can't Tsuru, I need to know he's okay. I can't relax or move again from this spot until he gets here."

Tsuru sighed, "Alright fine. I tried."

She got up leaving the tea as she headed back to headquarters. Once the sixth day was upon them. A ship was spotted heading back to the dock. Garp had fallen asleep on the cliff his arms crossed snoring leaning over. Tsuru looked up at him from the docks and smiled.

"At least he's resting." She sighed.

Sengoku stepped off the ship with his arm wrapped in bandages along with his head and torso.

"Congratulations Sengoku on becoming Fleet Admiral." Tsuru said.

He smiled, "Thank you, where's Garp?"

She turned to the cliff as Sengoku turned to it with her.

"He's been sitting up there for the past six days. I think you should go wake him." She said.

He nodded heading up to go see Garp. He headed up to the cliff and sat beside him. Tsuru stood at the docks watching as Sengoku tapped his cheek. He arose before turning to Sengoku. She smiled as he tackled Sengoku into a hug.

"Those two idiots make a cute couple." She smiled.
