A/N: Leave a like, or comment if I should do a Kidlaw Wedding?

For a brute who could crush your skull within his hand. Or set his sights on you and could kill you with a single glare. A man built like a tank, popping bones when he rolled his shoulders. And or growling low and gruff to ward off anyone. Seemed to have a soft spot. Yes. Eustass Kidd had a soft spot for one man in particular.

Law hummed softly combing his inked stained fingers through Kidd's now dry hair. He just finished taking a shower to get all the gel and oil out of his hair. Law liked it this way. It wasn't always towering over him. Or looked like a blossoming tulip. Law smiled softly as Kidd was buried into his neck. Arms wrapped around his smaller frame, and his lips kissing over Law's shoulder. Kidd was sweet when he wanted to be. If he saw a couple in the street holding hands. He too had to hold hands with Law. But better. Kidd always had to be better or greater then other couples. But when they were alone. They lied like this. Embracing each other, with kisses or just skin to skin contact. Kidd looked up to Law earning his attention. Law only smiled back softly.

"Why me?" Kidd asked.

A question that always ranked through Kidd's mind. He was ruthless, dark, cruel, and twisted. He always thought Law could do so much better then him. He wasn't some grade A medical student. Some great doctor who could save lives. Or some timid nurse who admired him from afar. Kidd was just, a brute. Always coming home with a new cut or bruise from working in the auto shop. Or curse him out occasionally because he had a bad day. Along with throwing whatever was close enough at him. But. Law stayed. Law chuckled having Kidd cock an invisible brow.

"Why you?" Law asked.

"Yeah? Why are you still here?" Kidd asked, "Why don't you run from me, or are ever scared of me, you always stand tall and are always here when I wake up the next morning."

Law chuckled once more, "You really think you can scare me away?"

"I don't intend to."

Law cupped his cheeks and kissed his forehead.

"I'll tell you why I keep staying. Only if you finally go to bed." Law said.

"Fine." Kidd gruffed.

He sighed resting on Law's inked chest. His fingers tracing over the heart before getting to Corazon.

"Do you hear that?" Law asked.

Kidd glanced up to him before listening. He could hear Law's heart beat. It was soft and always kept rhythm. Kidd shut his eyes focusing on his heart beats.

"It beats for you." Law said.

Kidd opened his eyes glancing to Law with a soft smile.

"Why is that?" Kidd asked.

"It's because, I love you." Law said.

Kidd's eyes widened with a hint of blush on his cheeks he turned away tracing his tattoo's.

"Well?" Law asked.

Kidd glanced to him once more, "Well what?"

"Did I answer your question?"

"Yeah."

"Good, now go to sleep."

Law reached over shutting off the light. Kidd still lied on Law's chest. Listening close to Law's heartbeat. His eyes shut slowly falling asleep to the soft rhythm. Law's hands found there way through his hair once more. Waiting. Once Kidd was asleep Law soon fell asleep sometime later.

But once the morning broke, Kidd fluttered open his eyes. Law's side of the bed was empty. He furrowed noticing some of the clothes were tossed around. Some of Law's scrubs, and his clothes. Did he finally choose to leave? Was last night just a dream? Kidd sat up and ruffled his hair.
