The next day, Barry relayed what Zoom challenged him with to the team.

"So, he wants to race you?" I asked, confused. "Like a foot race?"

Barry sighed and shrugged, then explained, "I guess. He's obsessed with being the best."

"Why would we trust him?" Iris asked abrasively.

Cisco explained to her, "He just wants to race, it actually makes sense in a completely off your rocker sort of way."

"That can't be everything he wants," I said quietly, trying not to internally attack myself.

Harry interjected, analyzing data at the computers, "It isn't. This 'magnatar' being developed by Mercury Labs," he put the blueprint onto all of the screens and explained, "It turns out it can act as a pulsar."

"Woah," Cisco's mouth gaped.

"What is a pulsar?" Iris asked, confused as usual.

Come on Finn, explain it.

I said, kind of a bit too loud, "It's a power amplifier with a highly magnified, dense, rotating core that can be easily weaponized."

"Oh, that's not dangerous at all," she replied sarcastically. You were too upfront, she thinks you're a know it all bitch.

Cisco pointed to the screens, exclaiming as the pulsar exploded, "That's what happens to Earth-2! What happens in my vibes is because of this machine."

"That thing is powerful enough to destroy a planet?" Iris questioned Harry, not me. She definitely thinks I'm a bitch. I don't blame her, I killed her adoptive brother and made her be the beacon in the Speedforce.

"Oh, much more than just a planet if it has the right power source," Harry smirked.

Jesse asked her dad, "Like what?"

"Like me," Barry stated grimly, and explained, "That's why he wants to race. He wants to siphon the energy I create when I run."

I added shyly, "He wants to siphon the energy off both of you."

"When Jay captured me," Caitlin explained, "He said that he used to measure his success by counting the number of victims he had, but now he said he was going to measure it buy counting the number of Earths he conquered instead."

Harry stated in a moment of realization, "He doesn't want to just destroy Earth-2, he wants to take out every other planet in the multiverse." I thought that was fucking obvious, but I guess not.

"How many are there?" Caitlin asked, dreading the answer.

"Infinite," Harry stated bleakly.

Jesse asked, "Can he even do that?"

"If he can create a breach to and from Earth-2, he can get to all of them," I explained, trying to boost my confidence.

"He'll destroy them all," Cisco replied.

Barry sighed, "I guess I don't have a choice, I have to race him, and I have to win."

I had been forced to be apart Barry-Intervention, even though that was the last thing I wanted to do. All I wanted to be was alone, why doesn't anybody understand that?
