AU that happens after the Aogiri arc and Kaneki returns to Anteiku.

The shop bell rung and the door swung open to a certain purple haired male ghoul with his ridiculous outfit. Stretching his arms wide, he inhaled a huge breath of air and then exhaled. "Good morning, people of Anteiku! I see you guys are working hard today as well!" He greeted as he looked around the café. The employees all looked at him for a brief moment before continuing with their work and only Kaneki greeted him.

"Good morning, Tsukiyama-san. What brings you here today?" Kaneki asked the infamous gourmet.

The scent of the half-human and half-ghoul filled his nostrils as he came closer. CALMATO, SHUU! YOU NEED TO DO THIS. FOR KANEKI-KUN'S SAKE AND MINE!!!

Tsukiyama managed to keep his calm and made his way past the half-ghoul, towards a certain female ghoul who was holding a broom. He took her hand into his and kissed the back of her hand.

Seeing that, Kaneki felt a pang of jealousy and his hands balled into fists. How dare he touch Touka! I'm going to punch the living daylights out of him! On second thought, he held it in. He knew he didn't have the right to do that because Touka was just a co-worker and a friend. He's not her boyfriend so he can't do this. His feelings will stay with him until he dies, never to be heard by her. They will just be a burden to her.

"Good morning, my beautiful flower. How is your day—"

He snapped out of his thoughts as Touka slammed Tsukiyama's head to the table, making a loud bang sound. "The fuck are you doing, shitty-yama?!!"

Thankfully, they haven't opened the shop so no customers were around to see this. Seeing her reaction, Kaneki heaved a sigh of relief.

"Even as a ghoul, that kind of hurts, Kirishima-san... Would you mind letting me speak first?" The gourmet asked.

"If you dare to do anything else, I'll kill you." Touka warned before removing her hand from Tsukiyama's head, letting him stand properly and cracked his head back to its original place.

The gourmet cleared his voice. "As you all know, I have been crazy about Kaneki-kun all this while and I finally realized something, which is my feelings for Kirishima-san."

Kaneki felt his heart stop. Tsukiyama. Liking. Touka. That fact refused to register in his brain.

Before the purple haired ghoul could continue, Touka had thrown a punch at him but he managed to catch her arm in time and avoided the punch. Looking into her eyes, he smiled, "now, now hasn't anyone taught you that interrupting someone while they're talking is rude?"

"What nonsense are you blabbing about, shitty-yama—"

His eyes warned her that he will not tolerate anymore interruptions and she kept quiet. Releasing her arm, he continued, "now as I saying, I, Tsukiyama Shuu, like Kirishima Touka romantically and I will start to chase after her now instead of Kaneki-kun. I came here to say that. Well then, I shall take my leave. Good day everyone."

After leaving the shop, Kaneki followed behind and pulled him to a corner. "Tsukiyama-san, you know I like Touka-chan right? Why would you do that?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "Yes I do know that you like her but I also do know that you aren't going to make a move on her. So I just thought, if you are not going to ask her out, then I will."

Now standing side by side, Tsukiyama patted Kaneki on his shoulder, casting a sideways glance. "The one who makes an effort always wins the one who does not."
