After what had happened last week, let's get this back on track. Bring the votes in.
*Rick's POV*
Today is a free day for all of us in Alexandria. Every now and then, Dean is working all day long from construction site to walking the rounds with me, scavenging, and hunting as well.
It seems like we used to live in the old world where everything is going along just fine. But this is an insane world.
Last night, we were alone while the others are asleep. He told me about how (Y/N) changes him and always put himself first before others. Even shown me an engagement ring.
He then asked me to give him my blessing to marry my daughter. They have been together for a couple months now and since in this world it doesn't matter how long people have been together.
I had to say yes. I know he will protect her and she would do the same for him even though he won't allow it.
I'm happy my daughter found happiness.
"Dad, you're missing out!" Carl's voice from the inside of the house.
"What is it?" I went inside the house and saw my two daughters are standing in the narrow hallway.
"Go on, Judy. Walk to daddy." (Y/N) cooed.
Judith slowly starts walking towards me with the help of (Y/N) until she lets go and walk on her own.
I continue to watch on to see her walking on her own.
I smiled so bright.
"Come on Judith" I said telling her to come closer.
She took a few more steps and then she finally reached me.
I caught her.
"Good job baby" I said.
Judith giggles and clap her hands together.
"Yay for Judith! You're growing up." (Y/N) cooed.
She smiles and smack my cheeks lightly.
"Where's Dean?" Carl asked.
"At the construction site."
"How long is he gonna be there?" (Y/N) asked
I looked at her.
"Is that all you worry about?" I asked.
She shrugged.
"He's my boyfriend so I kinda have to. Even though he probably doesn't want me to" she said.
"He probably is. Like always"
"Like how you're always away for hunting?" Carl asked.
"I do not-"
"Yes, you do, dad!" Carl and (Y/N) said.
I try to defend myself, but no words came out of my mouth.
"You know we're always right." She said.
"Yep." He said.
"Okay well get her ready. We got dinner later" I said.
They nodded.
"She's gonna be with us right?" Carl asked.
"Yeah. She needs to be around us." I said.
"Gotcha" (Y/N) said.
She grabs Judith from me as my little girl coos and snuggles in her arms. I watch my kids go upstairs to the second floor for a shower and change.
I sit down in the living room area and pick up a book from the coffee table. Even though I don't have nothing to do today, I can read in my free time.
