Stephanie McMahon made me be in a mix tag team match. Wanna guess who? The one and only Dean Ambrose.
I don't hate him at all but here's the thing. We don't talk. We didn't even talk before the match started. I couldn't tell if he was excited to be tagging up with me but then again who knows with him? Who knows what this can lead to?
We were going against Xavier Woods and Sasha Banks. I know weird match up but who cares. I am out here kicking some ass.
Dean was struggling and I can tell that he is wanting to tag me in even if he didn't want to. I had my hand stretched out waiting for him to tag me him and then all of a sudden he was able to. I immediately ran into the ring and took Sasha down with a clothesline. Then another and then another. I saw Dean just watching from sitting on the ground and it looked like Xavier was out as well.
I threw her into the corner and was giving her kicks to the stomach. I then gave her a running bulldog. I went for the cover but she kicked out.
Also it's great news because the rest of New Day has been banned and I had pretty much requested that to happen. I wanted this match to be fair. I then decided to give her a suplex. Suplex after suplex after suplex.
I was getting ready for my finisher but then I heard something and I saw Xavier on top of the apron trying to distract me. But then I saw Dean run around the ring and pulled him off. Making him hit face first into the apron.
I decided that since Sasha was looking at Xavier and Dean was looking at me that maybe I can add a little tribute. I turned her around and kicked her in the gut. I then planted Dirty Deeds and went for the pin.
I then got the win for us.
My music played when Dean got in the ring. The ref held our hands up in the air. I was still a bit awkward but I looked at Dean and just put my hand out for a handshake. Gladly, he shook my hand and that was when I left.
"(Y/N)" I heard once I got backstage. I looked up and was crushed into a hug by Paige.
"Girl, you are squeezing me" I said and she then let out.
"You did great out there pumpkin. Also because you were partnered up with the Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose" she smirked.
I don't know why she is doing that.
"It just felt awkward though" I admitted and that made her frown. She was a bit confused.
"What do you mean by that?" she asked.
"It's just that we don't talk and I couldn't tell that he was excited to be partnering up with me. Mostly his face is unreadable. How would I know what he is really feeling?" I questioned to her.
"Well you may be able to find out when you ask him" I raised my eyebrows at her words.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Well because he is coming this way" she said and when I turned around there he was and he really was coming towards us.
"Paige do you mind if I can have a word with (Y/N)?" he asked and she nodded and walked away. It was still continuing to be awkward.
"Look, I know that we didn't talk at all before the match and it made me feel a bit bad. I think you can be pretty cool and I want to be able to hang out. So what I am trying to say is do you want to come by to my hotel room and we can watch movies and maybe order a pizza?" he asked.
I was thinking about his offer. I think he was being serious and it looked like he wanted to get to know me so I nodded.
"That's great. My room is 216" he said and then walked away.
This may be the start of something new, I thought.
