Is Somi Joining TWICE? (My Thoughts)

Okay, so you guys all know about IOI disbanding, and the rumors of Somi joining TWICE. The tumors have been going on a while now, a couple of months. And I am here to input my thoughts!

So, we all know Somi is a talented little bean, who came out first on Produce 101, and was the center for IOI. And now that she's not in a group anymore, she sort of needs to find one. And since after SIXTEEN a couple of talented vocalists left the label, Somi doesn't  really have anybody to debut with.

PRO-TWICE

Well, with what I just said, Somi could be joining TWICE. It's not odd for an idol to join a group that already debuted. Look at Red Velvet, and how they added Yeri in later. She fit in just fine.

Plus, the members of TWICE and Somi have gotten along very well. She's supported them at their award shows, and even did a little "ㅜㅜ" sign during a performance of "Very Very Very".

AGAINST TWICE

Personally, judging by how she's portrayed in IOI, I don't think she would really "fit in" with TWICE. They're a bit mature and such (no matter how dorky they are), and Somi just wouldn't really fit in with their concept. Besides, TWICE's albums and such are like a journey-type thing, and they've been through a lot together. So just pushing Somi in wouldn't really look good.

Let's not forget the huge age gap between her and the maknae, Tzuyu. Two years. That's a lot.

And think about how they'll probably be doing more "mature" songs in the future. And Somi will look a little bit awkward with them, even though "Whatta Man" says otherwise.

Plus, if Somi was meant to be in TWICE, JYP would've debuted her with them. Unless he wanted her to mature beforehand.

Or, like in my book, Tzuyu dies, and Somi joins then! : D
