About thirty minutes pasted before Marcus and Rachelle came to the house. And five minutes before them Anthony and his father were coming from the back door. Anthony's father didn't stop for chit chat but stormed into the living. Dad and Nina where still sitting where mom and I left them.

They sat quickly staring at each before Anthony's father went into the room. Both of them stood looking at him. He was pissed. Super pissed. I imagine mommies the same in all this.

Two ex-lovers meet again and both their children are to be mated. It was a twisted fate. And even though mom knew about Nina, but thought she was dead like the rest of us, but her husband had no idea.

Between both sides you would think it was natural for old lovers to get back together and that's what I feared. Not that about if she would be my stepmother and mother in law, but the damage it would do to us as a family. We've had our times but this was different. Much different.

"Honey," Nina spoke afraid of what her husband had to say.

"No I don't want to hear about it," he angrily.

She bowed her head as she mingled her fingers together. Dad say this and stepped in front of her. "I think you need to go out for another run," he said firmly acting cool. Nina held her breath and reached out for dad.

"No, Connor!"

Anthony's father looked at her to dad and growled. "You screwed my wife, didn't you? You think you can take her away from me," he yelled making the room shiver.

Rachelle stepped forwards from behind me but Marcus stopped her. She sent him a warning. Returning the warning glare he shook his head from left to right. Turning back to fight ready to play Anthony's father was already gripping onto dad's collar, pushing Nina back. Dad didn't dare raise his hands but stood there as the Alpha lifted him off the ground.

The moment the Alpha raised a fist, it happened so fast. Mom step forward, took the large Alpha's arm that was raised and pulled it back behind him. She then whipped her leg around his, making him lose his balance as he got on his knees. He then let dad as mom forced him down to the ground. To makes things scarier she had no emotion in her face. It was the face mom gave when she was pregnant. That look that said if you-don't-give-me-ice-cream-I'll-kill-you and I have no doubt she would.

After the last attack from Melantha mom took on boxing and karate with Edna and became a weapon. Not even dad was a match for her when she tried. I just never thought I would see her use it on anyone.

"Touch my husband again," she said calmly like he was child that was making trouble while out, "And I'll tare you from limb to limb. Do you hear me?"

He groaned in pain as she twisted his arm further upwards, "Dawn, dear, calm down." Dad tried to say duty didn't dare step closer to her.

She ignored him, "Do you hear me!" she said again growling into the Alpha's ear. The Alpha submitted as he slowly nodded his head. "What happened to them is in the past, not the present. She married you not him and he needed answers only she had. You dare raise your voice or fist in front of me again. You will regret it. Do you understand?"

"Yes," he groaned and was released.

"Good," mom smiled like nothing happed. "Who's thirsty?" she asked looking around the room.

Nina rushed to her husband, checking him over with a look like he had just died. And maybe he did. His pride. To be handled by a vampire and a woman no less, it hurt worst then getting hit in the balls. Or was it the same.

"Dear are you alright," dad asked slowly taking steps towards her with his hand half way up.

"Why wouldn't I be," she smiled and tilted her head. He gazed down towards the husband she just put down then back to her. "I'm fine Connor, we just don't have time for drama. Melantha is out there, roaming around and everyone is a target. We can't play around."

"I know, but you seem-"

He stopped midway when she stepped forward, raising her hand, she gripped his collar and pulled him down to her level. "You ever leave me or think about leaving me, I'll find you and rape you were you stand. You hear?" she asked sweetly.

The most devilish smirk appeared on his face, "Is that a threat," he asked.

"A promise," she whispered forcing her mouth into his as she completely took control. She then pulled away and pushed him, "we'll finish this later," she licked her lips.

"I look forward to it," he grinned.

Anthony stood next me. Looking at him he had this lustful look in his eyes, as I whispered "not happening."

"I was just thinking if you're like your mom because if so I think I'm going to have a lot of fun."

"You want fun," I asked raising an eyebrow. "You can sleep in a dog house."

His body shivered, "oh, don't play games like that I may like it," he grinned. For some reason I returned the smile and elbowed his side. "Ah, I like that," he whispered when he bent his head down to speak into my ear.

"You're so gross."

"Your mom is really strong," he said changing the subject.

Watching Nina help her husband up, "She's been through a lot. We all have. She took boxing and karate just to protect us if anything were to happen." He didn't say anything but glanced back at our parents.

I found myself smiling at the since in front of me but it quickly faded when I remembered. I didn't have long. Making a fist, I could feel the pain slowly return. But this time it came with a punch. Crawling up my arm it started to explore my body making me shiver as it slowly faded out.

Taking a deep breath, I turned around to get some fresh air, but found myself at a holt. Rachelle stood in front of me, looking down on me with a grim expression. Bowing my head I knew I was in trouble. Aunt Ray was that forgiving like mom was but Aunt Ray was the kind of person I needed right now. The mom person who would understand my situation more than anyone.

"We need to talk," it wasn't anything but a command from her as she turned around heading to the back door before looking at Marcus. He nodded his head and stepped behind me blocking the door. All I hear behind me was Anthony asking Marcus to more but Marcus firmly told him that he couldn't. That this was between just the two of us, Aunt Ray and I.

Well I'm not going to enjoy this, I thought stepping out of the house.
