"Melantha... she..." My father was in disbelief as he stared at the sleeping child. "How could this have happened?" he nearly yelled.
"Connor, there's no need to be upset," mom tried to calm him. With his hands in a fist she took two of her hands and wrapped them into a hug on one of the fist. Standing behind the couch I watched them chatter while Anthony stood by my side.
"What do you mean, don't be upset," this time he yelled. "She bares child of a man who..."
"I know, but they too were together at the time. Something like this was bound to happen."
"Then I'll get rid of him before he became a problem," dad reached out for David and I panicked.
"No!" getting over the couch, I took dad down. Braking the coffee table with his back, I bared my fangs at him with a warning growl.
"River!" mom panicky said with a gasp.
"No one will touch him! I promised him that I will protect and that's what I'll do. He has done nothing!" I yelled. The more my anger grew the more my blood boiled and I knew if I didn't calm down I was going to really hurt my dad.
He then bared his fangs at me, glaring at me. "I'm warning you River, move."
"No, you really think she cares about him. If she did she wouldn't have left him! Because of her obsession with you she would never love a child if it wasn't yours." I felt like crying, "His's never none what real love is, what family is. He's more lost then me! I promised him that he would be protected, loved, and have the family he always wanted. Why kill him for that?"
"River, we have too..."
"No! If you won't help him, then who will!" I screamed, crying with my eyes closed.
"Alright," my father voice said. With his cold hand on my cheek. I opened my eyes to find him smiling, "You're just like your mother. Always trying to help those that need saving."
"That was solved fast," Anthony spoke, standing next to us. We all looked at him completely forgetting him. "But how am I to explain this," he put his hands out looking at the floor, "my mom's coffee table. She's so going to kill me."
"Sorry," sounding guilty I got up off my father and helped him up.
"No, don't be. It should have moved out of the way. It payee for the price for sitting there." I couldn't help but laugh softly to his little joke. Watching his expression change from shock to happy naked my heart squeeze.
"It's seems love has been finding its ways around everyone lately," mom jokingly said giggling.
Dad step between Anthony and I. Glaring Anthony down while looking him up and down. "How are you anyway, we haven't been really introduced," he growled sizing up to Anthony.
Anthony lifted his chest out, proudly, glaring down on dad. Alpha hate to be downgraded by other and will make anything a challenge. It doesn't matter if you wolf, vampire, or human. You piss off an Alpha your ass is doomed.
"I'm Anthony, future Alpha to be, and your daughter's mate." Rolling my eyes and can just imagine him pounding his chest like a caveman.
"One of my 'mates'." I rolled my eyes again while folding my arms.
"There's more?" mom asked inching up to me with curiosity. Her eyes grow wide, smile from ear to ear, she worried me a little.
"Yes, Solomon. A human."
"Human!" Dad sounded more shocked the mom was when they shouted out looking at me. They then looked at Anthony who nodded saying he knew about it.
"He works with wolves, more like a rehab for wolves. That how we meet. I was trapped in my wolf form for some time until he called out my name."
"So he knows you're a..." mom tried to ask.
"Yes, he knows. He even knows about Anthony's pack too."
"Well, two men," she smirked looking towards dad then me, "have you chosen or are you taken both because if I were you I would have both." She giggled.
"Really," dad raised a brow while Anthony looked a bit uncomfortable. We all know where this was going. And it was going to be embarrassing more than sexy. "Both," he made his way to her.
"Well, if I was destined to be with two men I wouldn't mind."
"So you want another lover?" he asked taking a hold of her wrist.
"How can I take another lover when I have ten all in one, right here?" She smiled wrapping one of her arm around behind his neck pulling him in for a kiss. "I was saying if I was in her shoes, dear. You're enough for me. To have two of you I would be in trouble. How will I ever get any sleep," she giggled.
"You won't," he growled taking her mouth into his.
I rushed to Anthony's side and turned him around. The look on his face showed it all. Eyes wide, mouth open, I guess his parents never did this with him around. But I bet they never stripped in front of the kids too, unlike some people. "Get a room you too!"
Laughter filled the room, with me and Anthony looking away, I was starting to wonder who David hasn't woken up with all the noise we're making. "I'm sorry," mom laughed, "Anthony, is there a spare room we could put the child? He won't be getting up anytime soon until our other party comes with blood."
"Other party?" meaning theirs more than one?
"Yes, Rachelle came along as well. She's been very worried about you."
"Aunt Ray is here?" I spoke slowly.
