Glenn & Maggie

The pain was too much. Too much to bear. Everything reminded her of him. Every single detail inside her head. People tried talking to her but she would pretend to be asleep. Pretend that it didn't happened. But it did.

It had been a few days since it happened. A few days since she lost him. Since they lost him. Jesus would bring her a tray with food, which he would take away, hours later, untouched. Everyone was worried. This much stress could be harmful to the baby. After a day, they left and went back to Alexandria, only Sasha stayed.

The pain was too much. She felt like her heart wasn't there. She felt numb. As if her heart had been ripped from her chest and stomped on. In a way it had, by that monster.

Even though he said it was because of his actions, she didn't blame Daryl. She didn't blame him for her husband's death. He acted on an instinct, on an impulse of trying to protect the ones he loved. He didn't mean to put anyone in danger and she knew that she would have done the same.

He said he would come in a week. Rick wanted to hide her, pretend she was dead. Why, she didn't know. She only knew that she wanted to take that bat and bash his skull, like he did to her love.

She was afraid. She lost everything. Shaw, her stepmom, her daddy, her little sister and now him. What else could she lose? What else could this world rip away from her? She had nothing now.

She still couldn't believe he was gone. He's had so many close calls so far, how could he have died on the hands on one man? He was strong, stronger than most people thought. How could he be gone after everything they've been through?

But she knew. She was certain of it. She knew that he would be watching over her. Watching over them. He would be there, with Hershel and Beth, taking care of her.

Maggie knew that, wherever he was, Glenn would be watching over her. Her and their baby.
