I was reading a book, lying down on my bed when a knock sounded from the door.
"It's open," I called marking my place and setting the book down. I hopped off of my bed, facing the opening door.
Red Arrow entered my room and I blushed looking down. I then reminded myself no strings attached. guilt blossomed in me when I saw him, I hope that feeling would go down soon, I didn't need it whenever I saw him.
"I'm joining the team," he announced.
"That's amazing!" I squealed hugging him, I barely made it to his chest. I was short compared to him, but he was really tall so I didn't feel to bad.
All of us were called down to the den for a mission briefing. I slipped on my uniform on the way there, pulling on my boots as I entered. The rest of the team (and now Red Arrow) was there, I zipped up my boot slowly and awkwardly as Green Arrow began the briefing.
"Batman is in Gotham doing the dynamic duo thing, but he sent me this. Sportmaster was spotted soing from St.Louis international airport.
"In full costume? Nervy." Zatanna crossed her arms.
"In street clothes." Green Arrow clarified, "facial recognition picked up the ID."
"Daughter looks a lot like daddy," I sang under my breath, I was sure of their relation by now, it was painfully obvious.
"Agreed." B.E.M nodded looking at Artemis then the screen.
"All of us?" Superboy questioned, "Seems like overkill for a shadow job."
"Perhaps a small squad," RT suggested, I let out a sigh of relief, I did not want to go on a mission today, don't know why, but I knew stuff would get real and I didn't need that to fuel my demon.
"The sidekicks- sorry. Ex sidekicks should go. Aqualad, Speedy, and Kid Flash."
"I want in," Artemis claimed. Probably trying to outdo Red Arrow since he joined the team now; "With M'gann and Robin out no one's logged more hours piloting the bio-ship."
All of them left so those of us who stayed behind sat around bored out of our minds. Maybe not going on the mission was a bad idea, it would at least give us something to do.
"Do you really think Artemis is going to help?" B.E.M questioned, sitting next to me on the couch.
"Not at all, let's be honest," I laughed. Everyone looked at me weirdly and I frowned, "What? Can't I have a nice conversation with Black eyed me?"
We walked towards the den just in time to see RT fly up to him area in the cave. All of us looked at each other thinking the same thing, it was snooping time.
"Let's go."

We jumped up to his apartment type area when he left. After looking around for a few minutes we saw a sheet covering a body shaped lump. I began to fear the worst of my mentor. We slowly made our way towards it pulling off the sheet. It was a human like robot, partially built. It was not what I was expecting. At least it wasn't a dead body.
"So is Red building a friends or..."
"Perhaps you should ask Red," RT flew up. "I am a robot, this is an android. He will serve as my alter ego, John Smith, and allow me to download my consciousness so I may walk among humans."
"It's a great idea." I complimented awkwardly, RT was always cool and collected, all of us found it weird that we weren't being scolded or anything.
"Your approval is appreciated, but your presence is uninvited. Is this a sign of disrespect?"
"Boredom." M'gann corrected. We all nodded in agreement, RT seemed slightly confused but didn't ask us to explain more so we left, ready to deal with our boredom in another way.
It ended up being a movie day.

The group returned later that night and started arguing. It really made the demon happy. I just stood in the shadows smirking, I knew stuff was going to get real and of course I was right. I seemed to be right a lot lately, I didn't know if that was good or bad considering I was right about bad things...
"Look at all of you arguing," I walked into the light, my eyes darkening, "And yet you can't realize the true reasons and problems."
"What do you mean (Y/n)" Aqualad asked, slight fear shinned in his eyes, even the leader feared me now.
My eyes turned fully black, my smirk widening, "You can see a lot through these eyes. True forms," I looked at M'gann, "True family," I glanced over at Superboy and Artemis, "Even true intentions. I'm getting close to finding the mole, but think twice before you ask because that's for you to figure out."
I walked to my room after my speech. Hands down, being a demon had its perks. Sitting on my bed once again I picked up the book that had long since been forgotten during the day putting it back on my cramped bookshelf, I would need another one soon.
"What to do now," I muttered, looking around my room. It was already scary neat, my book shelf was as organized as possible, I had nothing.
"You could talk to me," B.E.M suggested, appearing at my bed. I snorted, sitting down in one of my chairs.
"As if, you'd lecture me about how 'Being Evil is Actually Good', or something."
"How did you know?"
"You're literally me, I think I would know myself pretty well."
