Chapter 58

I watched as Beauty stumbled about in the yard getting used to her surroundings.

Brock had surprised me with the name but then again I hadn't been sure what he would name her or how he would feel about having another dog. I just saw the little angel and fell in love, she was the cutest thing. I also wanted him to know that I trusted him again, after what happened with Beast getting out due to him being too drunk to realize..

I knew he still beat himself up about it but the thing was I didn't hold anything that happened while he dealt with his demons against him.

Me leaving as I realized before was to do with the guilt that I felt, the sadness that I felt because I was letting us both down. I had wanted to push him away, knowing that we couldn't survive without each other. It was silly but I loved him so much and I just wanted him to be completely happy and fulfilled and I was afraid because he loved me he would stay with me but be lacking what he wanted most.

Yes there were other alternatives like adopting but I knew Brock and I knew he wanted a bundle of joy that was a representation of us that had his blue eyes or my green ones. That had my dark hair or his blonde hair or maybe even had his mother's brown eyes. I'm sure they would have pale skin and I hoped they would get his smile..

I shook my head as there wouldn't be a they..

I had flown out yesterday morning and I had a show tomorrow which meant I would have to fly out later tonight. Brock and I had an amazing morning, it was the perfect day that would just make it harder to leave him. I had only spent the night of his birthday with him and I knew he would forget his own birthday because he wasn't the whole celebration guy when it came to that , neither was I. But the happiness on his face reassured me that he loved how the few hours left of it was spent.

I heard the porch creak a bit and smiled as I saw his legs on either side of me while he sat behind me. I leaned my head back on his chest as I pulled his arms around me before feeling us sway as he kissed me in my neck making me giggle before he stopped.

"Do you think her and Beast will get along?" I voiced as I wasn't sure how he would take to a new dog taking over his lair.

He had been on his own for the past five months besides interacting with Rover and Steve's dogs of course..

"Beast is a friendly dog unlike his father so I'm sure they will" he chuckled into my hair.

"When did you build that?" I whispered at the little fencing loving the sound of him being Beast's father but it served as a reminder and he always seemed to drift to our future kids. I couldn't handle it right now..

"This morning. I was up early and figured she needs to get used to her home but don't want her wandering off too far with the guys working around here and all the equipment"

"Already protective over your little girl" I whispered trying not to let my voice croak.

"Well I have to be, have to prove to you that I can be a good father" His arms tightened around me and I guess I couldn't change the subject.
