WARNING: Brief Panic attack, slight Stockholm syndrome
Robin groaned as he tried to find a comfortable position on his bed.
"Stop moving. You're going to injure yourself more." Slade said.
"My back hurts though. You know they didn't just hurt my ribs." Richard frowned.
Slade growled loudly.
Richard's eyes went wide.
"I'm sorry!" Richard squeaked out and hid behind his fluffy blankets.
"It's okay. You're safe now. No one can get you. They have to get through me first." Slade said, rubbing circles into Richard's scalp.
Richard closed his eyes and leaned into the touch.
It felt good to have a touch that didn't hurt him.
It also made Slade not as angry when he obeyed him.
"That's a good boy." Slade said, his voice luring Richard to sleep.
Safe.
He was safe.

Then next time Richard woke up, Slade was no where to be seen.
Richard frowned, panic popping up in his chest a bit.
Richard knew he was safe, but still.
Slade wasn't there.
Richard hid under his blankets a bit more.
He then grabbed a pillow and held it closely to his chest.
'It's okay. It's okay. Nothing is going to get you. The door is locked.' Richard tried to reason with himself.
A shutter when through his body.
He wasn't going to cry!
Everything was fine!
No one was going to get him!
Richard started to calm down a bit.
Suddenly, he heard the lock on the door moving.
The door opened and then shut.
Then, Slade walked into his room.
Richard completely relaxed.
Slade was back!
He was safe again!
"I see you are up again, Richard." Slade said.
Richard nodded eagerly.
"Good. How are you? Need some more medicine?" Slade asked.
"No, sir." Richard shook his head.
"Okay. Are you hungry?" Slade asked.
"No, sir. Just a bit sore." Richard said.
"Hum. Not much I can do for you then." Slade said, patting Richard's head.
"Uhm, Slade...uhm, speaking of doing stuff...when will I be able to get up?" Richard asked meekly.
"When you heal. It will be a while, a few weeks at least. It's been three days already, you have just been sleeping. Which you need to do in order to heal." Slade said sternly.
Richard nodded.
~~~(TIME SKIP) [I got bored.]~~~
It was a week later when Richard could get out of the bed without wincing.
