Your story: Ever since you first met him, you were quite close to Bucky. You felt like you could possibly like him more than a friend but he was scared that he would lose you so nothing ever happened.
How it happened: One night, Bucky was crashing on your couch. Deep in the night, you heard him cry out. You rushed out of bed and saw he'd fallen on the floor, the blanket still half over him. He panted heavily and looked up at you with his big blue eyes full of tears.
"Nightmares?" you asked quietly, kneeling down next to him. He nodded and hugged you tightly. You hugged him back and stroked his hair.
"I'm a monster Y/N. The only thing I'm good for is killing," he sobbed.
"You're not a monster Bucky. It wasn't your fault. You're a good man and you don't deserve what happened to you," you soothed, rubbing his back. He pulled away from you and looked at his metal hand. Bucky clenched tightly, angry that it was attached to him. You gently held his metal wrist and he relaxed his hand. Feeling bold, you kissed each finger, then his knuckles and kissed up his arm. Bucky watched you carefully as you traced the star on his shoulder with your tongue. You started to get greedy and licked along his scar; the combined metallic taste and salt on his skin sent sparks through your system. You made your way up to his lips, giving him time to pull away if he wanted. Bucky grabbed the back of your head with his other hand and kissed you passionately. He carefully pushed you to the ground and broke the kiss.
"My turn," he said huskily. Bucky began lifting your pyjama top and kissing each bit of skin that was newly revealed. He paused when he reached your breasts, looking at you for permission. You nodded and he continued. Between hungry, needy kisses, the rest of the clothes were removed. Bucky positioned himself between your legs and entwined his hands with yours. You squeezed his hands to let him know you were okay and he slid into you.
...
After settling down, Bucky pulled out of you and rolled onto his back. You couldn't help but admire the smile that spread across his face. It was a genuine one that reached the corners of his eyes. He turned to face you and kissed you passionately.
"Thank you... so much," he breathed. You smiled and pulled the blanket up over the two of you. You fell asleep in a tangle of limbs.
Finding out/ Telling him: After that night, Bucky asked you out. Shortly after, you had begun to feel sick over things you usually liked. It wasn't until that you went for a routine check-up that you found out you were pregnant. How was Bucky going to take this? Sure he had come a long way, but you had only just started dating. You nervously paced the lounge-room until Bucky came through the door.
"Hey Doll," he greeted kissing you. You kissed back and took his hands.
"Bucky... I need to tell you something." You guided him to the couch and sat down. He looked at you concerned.
"I... I'm pregnant," you blurted out. Bucky's face held an unreadable expression. He stood up and walked out the door without so much as an explanation. In tears, you called one of your friends.
...
Hearing your friend arguing with a man, you woke up from your nap. You got out of bed and walked into the lounge-room to see your friend trying to push Bucky out the door.
"Bucky? What're you doing here?" you asked, stunned to see him again after the reaction he gave you.
"I came to make things right." He pushed through and got down on one knee and presented a small velvet box.
"Y/N, will you marry me?" Your eyes filled with tears.
"But... you left."
"I know. I was just scared. I love you Y/N, have for a long time but I've been scared of what might happen if..." His gaze flicked over to your friend who didn't know about Bucky's episodes. You gently turned his head to face you again.
"Yes," you muttered.
"Wha-what?"
"Yes, I will marry you Bucky." He smiled, stood up and embraced you.
Pregnancy issues: His nightmares. You knew what was Bucky was capable of and that he would never consciously hurt you. Whenever he had a nightmare, you called Steve and stayed out of the away until he gave you the all clear.
The birth: One afternoon, you were enjoying a lazy day with Bucky. You started getting pains in your stomach. You brushed them off but as they started getting closer and closer together, you thought something might be up. Bucky helped you get to the hospital and by the time you got here, they were almost unbearable. You held onto his metal hand, squeezing it as hard as you could as you pushed out your child. After many hours, your son was born. Bucky was still too scared to hold him but he wrapped his arm around you, kissing your hair. He carefully stroked the tiny boy's cheek with his finger.
"He's amazing," Bucky whispered in awe. The nurse came in for you to sign the birth certificate.
"Have you thought a name yet?" she asked. You and Bucky look at each other and you nodded.
"We have; Steven Vincent Barnes."
