Walking along the broken up sidewalk of downtown, I was surrounded by nothing but abandoned homes which were decorated in graffiti and busted pipes which seeped rusted water. With one street light flickering, the only dependable light I had amongst me was a full blood moon. Growing up, a full blood moon usually elicits madness, let anyone tell it, it's equivalent to death. As the sound of the water spewing from the pipes and the crackling of the tiny rocks beneath my feet sounded, my body began tensing up, little by little. As I carried on my stroll I couldn't help but hear a bothersome noise from behind. My walking came to a halt as I slowly turned my head and gazed at the flickering street light that began giving out. My eyes suddenly fell down to 5 dark silhouettes that stood still beneath the street light before the bulb blew, falling to the cold concrete and shattering. My heart pounded through my chest as I heard the pitter patter of feet coming towards me. The blood moon shine conflicted with the pitch black night and as the footsteps ran towards me which sounded like they were coming from many directions, I ran, despite I was blinded by the conflicted darkness amongst me. The sudden cool breeze that brushed my skin as I ran turned into a forceful push, scraping my face against the rock covered concrete. As I whimpered in pain, I felt cold steel pressed against my temple as someone else turned me onto my back, the sharp rocks stabbing at my flesh...
"Open ya mothafuckin mouth", a deep voice spat and with no hesitation, I did just that as silent tears fell down the sides of my face. "You thought you was gonna get away with tryin to set a nigga up, huh, bitch, you thought I was a joke out here!", the deep voice rhetorically hissed. "You call yaself gettin close to a nigga only to set me up, that's unfortunate though cause I actually liked ya ass. You ain't shit but a opp ass bitch", he spat as I heard the hammer of the gun that was in my mouth being pulled back. Ready for fire. I closed my eyes tight as the gun that was aimed at my thoughts pressed down even more. The weapon was slowly pulled from my mouth. "Where them niggas at?", he hissed as the other weapon stayed against my temple "If you don't tell me what the fuck I wanna know, I'ma blow ya mothafuckin head off, don't play with me", he said enraged.
"Are you going to do this or not?", a familiar female spoke. "Her daddy is probably riding around in route. "You know what, just fuck it, let's go", she said slightly bothered by the faint sirens.
"Fuck that shit", he said to the familiar female. "Where the fuck they at bitch!", he hissed pressing the steel between my eyes.
I swallowed the large lump in my throat before opening my eyes to be greeted by pitch black. Just as I attempted to sit up and speak, a heavy foot was lunged at my stomach causing me to fall back.
"I-I don't know", I cried out in response."Bri, I know that that's you, please help me, don't let them do this to me", I pleaded as I felt the foot push more into my stomach which conflicted with my breathing. "Please stop, I don't...", I hysterically cried out and before I could speak another word, a light flashed showing every silhouette that surrounded me and the gun fired...
________Tahari
9:35 am...
I've been up all night prior to the death forsaken dream that I had. I've been in a distraught manner, followed by paranoia. I was deeply disturbed by a lot of things that I've endured, from my parents turning up their noses at me for countless reasons, down to what's to come with the whole Sina situation. I am more than sure that just about everything will come crashing down sooner than later. My father's colleagues were hands on and I should have thought things through before answering Sina's door and once my mother mentioned the big body red car, I felt as if I was fully screwed but I had to keep up with these brewing lies. I know my father will now be on his toes about what I do from this day on and I can't lead him in the direction of Sina, it wouldn't end well, for any of us. Buried in my thoughts, I lied in bed on my side as my body was slightly wrapped in my unkempt blanket. My heart dropped as my mind wandered off to the nightmare. I've never experienced these type of dreams before, death related, not at all. Why would these men be after me, I'm not even in the equation any more, Sina doesn't want me to be but what really stood out was the role Briana played in my dream.
