Clark was at Lana's grave. He was bowing his head down while tears rushed out it eyes. It was raining. Clark had no umbrella so his hair and glasses got wet. It was nighttime as well. Clark didn't attend Lana's funeral, he didn't want to show his face there. Clark read Lana's grave, "Lana Lang, 1992-2016, The Rose of Smallville" Clark set a rose on Lana's grave. Jonathan and Martha walked up behind him. Next to them was Krypto, the Kryptonian Dog that landed on Earth almost a decade ago.

Krypto sat beside Clark who was still staring at the grave. Clark pet Krypto on the head and felt his wet, white fur. Krypto was the only other living thing from Krypton besides Clark.

"I killed her, she died because of me. The woman I loved died because of me." Clark sobbed, "I'm too dangerous, I've got too much power."

"Stop that nonsense, Clark! You had to defend yourself. The FBI is investigating everything right now. You don't know if it was truly you who killed her." Martha said somewhat defensively.

"I hit her seventeen times. It was me. I could save a million lives but somehow can't protect the ones I love." Clark replied. "Lex was right, I'm no hero. I don't have any regard for human life."

"Do you honestly believe that crap?" Jonathan was straight forward, "The son I raised wouldn't let words hurt him. And you have no regard for human life? You're parents are human! Those kids you saved were human! Lois Lane was human! Lex is wrong. He doesn't know anything about you."

"Pa, they don't need to know anything about me to judge me. I was a public figure, people see what I do even though they don't know who I am." Clark replied.

"Maybe you should speak with Jor-El..." Martha told Clark.

Clark walked home with his parents and Krypto. The house was less than a mile away. Clark then walked into the barn, alone. The animals were all in the barn since it was raining. Clark ignored the animals and walked straight to his rocket and put his hand on it. Clark activated the Artificial Intelligence of Jor-El.

"Hello Father."
