Good point but

I see what this person means, but I see other people's view on it too. Of course there are plenty of people who think the songs are about Noodle too, but I think the music is pretty detached from the characters in generel to be honest. Like all I'm saying is, I doubt Damon Albarn was thinking about the characters AT ALL when he was writing the music so I don't think those songs are about Noodle or Paula. But that doesn't stop it from making a fanfic more interesting.
