Remember when I mentioned other cool fictional musicians? Well, I'd like to point out Emily the strange. Like Gorillaz, she's a punk/rock guitarist sorta gothic icon to represent her creator, Rob Reger. Unlike Gorillaz though, her main deal is books/comics. Oh yeah and Skate Boards. (her ceator is a skate board who runs some sort of company making skates or something). She's just as equally cool and interesting as Gorillaz. She does have a music video called "Calling alll guitars" but I wouldn't suggest that being your go-to introduction to Emily the strange because well, it's not a very accurate representation of her character. (Or very good for that matter, the music itself. Which is weird since it was totally canon and created by the actual author of Emily so I don't know how he fucked it up.) The music is also not very good. It's lame poppy simple lyric music. But the art wokr and video itself is great though. Hell, it's my profile picture if you didn't already know. XD
But anyway, if you like Gorillaz, I reccomend full-hearted checking out Emily The Strange. Especially now, because the fandom has been soooo dead lately.
