Epilogue

****Two years later****

It has been two years since you had met your current boyfriend, Yusei Fudo. You didn't think that you'd be with him for so long let alone two entire years. Yusei was the only one who really understood you (except your friends and family of course). You felt butterflies flutter every time he kissed or spoke to you. A sense of a sweet yet toxic side of him was seen when you were alone with him. It was like he turned into a different person entirely. You love every side of Yusei, good and bad. You knew that something would happen to the both of you eventually. Something unexpected.

It was just a normal day -so you had thought- and you were making breakfast for yourself since Yusei had to leave earlier than usual due to work.

Yusei saw the sign for your parents' bakery, his heart nervous for what he was about to do. It was a good thing that he left early. Yusei told himself, "Just breathe in and out, Yusei." He opens the door and looks around, it still looks the same, even after a whole year. Your aunt saw Yusei and greeted him, "Yusei! How have you been? How's Y/N?" Yusei answers, "She's been alright, just a bit busy with the repair shop." Yusei then sees your parents come down, their eyes widening with surprise. Your mother said, "Hello, Yusei. Nice to see you again." Yusei smiles, "Nice to see you as well, Y/MN." Your father asks, "How's my daughter doing?" Yusei smiles once more, "Y/N is doing great." Yusei says, "I need to talk to all of you about something." Your uncle said, "It must be important if you have to discuss it with us all." He guides Yusei into the living room, sitting himself down on a chair. Your father asks, "What do you need to discuss with us, son?" Yusei breathes before answering, "I would like to ask for your permission to ask your daughter to become my wife. I love her with all my heart and I can't imagine myself without her." Your father responds, "I see how much you love Y/N. I will give you my permission on one condition." Yusei asks, "What's the condition?" Your father replies, "Treat my daughter like the queen of the castle." Yusei answers, "I promise from the bottom of my heart." Your mother coos, "You are so cute!" Yusei smiles, "Y/N always calls me cute." Your uncle raised his eyebrows, "She does? That's a surprise. I don't think I've ever heard Y/N ever call someone other than her parents cute." Yusei looked surprised, "That's kind of hard to imagine." Your father asks, "Shouldn't you be at work, son?" Yusei responds, "I just wanted to visit you all before I left." Your mother shooed him out, "You've seen us, now go to work!" Yusei laughs in response and bids your family farewell.

"Yusei?" Yusei turned around to see his co-worker giving him a concerned look. She asks, "Are you okay?" Yusei answers, "I'm alright, I'm thinking of proposing to my girlfriend." She squeals, "That's so adorable!" Yusei admits, "The only problem is, I don't know how to ask her." His co-worker suggests, "Why don't you find an old book she never reads and hide the ring there? When she opens it, she'll be surprised." Yusei thought about it, "That sounds like it could work. Thanks." His co-worker replies, "No problem." She then asks him to check the data she had collected from the reactor. This is going to be a long day, Yusei thought to himself.

Yusei finds his phone and calls someone. A female voice responds, "Hello?" Yusei replies, "Hey Akiza it's me." Akiza said, "Yusei? What's up?" Yusei answers, "I was wondering if you could take Y/N out whenever you're free." Akiza squeals, "Sure! I'd love to spend some time with her! Actually, I have a whole two months off." Yusei responds, "Thank you, Akiza." Akiza replies, "Y/N is my best friend, and I care for her as much as you do." Yusei bids Akiza farewell and sighs in relief. He could get his plan into action.

You sigh to yourself, "Why does it have to be so slow today?" Your thoughts were interrupted by someone knocking. You walk to the front to open the door. "A-Akiza?!?" You were surprised. Akiza laughs, "Hello to you too." You were stunned, "I thought that you were busy?" Akiza replies, "I have a whole two months off now and a little bird told me that you need to spend some quality time with someone other than Yusei." Akiza adds quickly, "Not that there's anything wrong with Yusei." You giggle, "It's okay, Aki. I get what you mean. I'd love to go out today." You put up a sign that indicated that the shop was closed and led Akiza up to your bedroom.
