Chapter 15 (Part 2)

Previously on Yusei Fudo x Reader......

You all hear the same voice, "Let us battle for the lives of our people! You shall perish before me! For I am Veiyan!"

Your breath stops. How were you all going to stop this dark spirit and the shadow army?

This was it.

Another light appeared, separating the seven of you. Yusei yells, "Veiyan! What the hell is going on?!?" Veiyan just laughs, "I'm taking all of you down, even if it means that I have to kill you."

Akiza and Crow were blinded by the bright luminescence. Crow looks around, "Everyone's gone." He calls out, "Leo! Jack! Luna!" Akiza shakes her head, "It's no use, they can't hear us."

Jack, Leo and Luna groan in pain. Luna looks around, "This isn't good!" Leo looks around, "Everyone's disappeared!" Jack said, "I don't think we have a choice now, you two." Luna asks, "What do you mean, Jack?" Jack answers, "I mean that we have to duel this shadow freak now."

You and Yusei squinted. You look at Yusei and ask, "Are you still in one piece?" Yusei groans, "Barely."

You heard someone ask, "Are you hurt, Lady Y/N?" You rub your head, "Dark Magician? Where were you?!? I was so worried about you all!" The spirit answers, "My apologies, milady. We were preparing our army for the battle." You then say, "It's time isn't it?" Dark Magician nods, "You and Sir Yusei will have to give it your all."

This wasn't how you had imagined it.

You didn't realize that you were so quiet until Yusei called for you. Yusei said reassuringly, "Don't worry, I'm sure everyone is holding up somehow." How were you supposed to know that? You couldn't even contact them! You wanted to scream.

You realize something, "Something seems off about this." Yusei just gave you a puzzled look. You explain, "Doesn't it seem strange that he would want to take us down one by one instead of all together?" You heard a cackle, "You're right, mortal. If it makes you feel any more pathetic, I'll reunite you peons with your so called allies." You didn't believe him. You then saw the beams of light disappear, revealing the faces of your friends.

Akiza, Crow, Jack, Leo and Luna looked around. Crow said, "Is it just me or can you all see Yusei and Y/N standing in front of us?" Jack chimed in, "That strange light is gone too but our marks are still burning." Akiza shakes her head at Crow, "You're not hallucinating, Crow. They are in front of us."

You saw the relieved look on Yusei's face. Yusei asked, "Is everybody okay?" Crow responds, "We're fine but something seems off about all of this." Yusei said, "Y/N was just saying the same thing, Crow." You hear Veiyan say, "I hate to interrupt a touching moment--actually I'd love to interrupt it. We have a duel to start and I don't want to waste any more of this precious time." Veiyan adds, "For my own convenience, you'll be fighting my shadow soldiers. It would be a waste of time to duel you now." Yusei growls, "I am going to make you pay for what you've done!" Yusei's face was red with anger, fists clenched. You calmly say, "Yusei, that's enough." Yusei tried to reply, "Y/N-". You put your hand up and say, "I know you're angry but taking your anger out on a disembodied spirit isn't helping our case." Veiyan laughs once more, "So the little mouse speaks." You saw his spirit come towards you, making you stumble back in fear. Veiyan then adds, "You'd be a perfect addition to my army. Why don't you leave these mortals and join me?" You reply, "Sorry Veiyan, I don't accept offers from spirits who want to hurt the people I love and care about." Veiyan sighs with fake disappointment, "Too bad. I guess I have to teach you a lesson." You were then thrown on to the ground, a scorching sensation entering your left leg. You gritted your teeth. You heard Yusei scream, "No!!" You heard everyone yell, "Y/N!" You try to stand up but fall due to the pain. You tried once again, slowly standing with a slight wobble. You reply, "I'm okay. It's going to take more than a sore leg to bring me down!" You were about to fall but saw Yusei, Jack and Crow help you stand. Yusei said, "Easy now, you don't want to hurt yourself any more." Crow looked at your leg, "It looks pretty scratched up. Can you walk?" You nod, "I can manage." Jack pointed out, "You can't even walk without someone helping you." You roll your eyes, "Honestly, I can manage walking on my own." Jack sighs, "Fine." You just hoped that this wouldn't hold you all back.
