A/N: This is a poem about a city I fell in love with by watching a TV show "The Originals". The city I fell in love with is: New Orleans. I would love to go there someday--before I do plenty of research about it of course.
When midnight comes,
All the clubs come alive,
All the lights come alight,
The music plays out aloud,
When midnight comes,
Dancing begins,
The city doesn't sleep,
And people come together,
Jazz bands,
Swing left and right,
Underneath the stars,
Soul pulsates,
In the dark,
You can feel it in the air,
Cobblestone,
Peering onto the streets,
Of the French Quarter,
More city people,
Tourists,
And neighbours,
Meet at Bourbon Street corner,
No man's alone,
In the city,
Of Mardi Gras,
Big crowds,
Survivors of the Katrina hurricane,
People celebrate still,
The city of great, new and valuable gains
