Happy Birthday! - Optional Bias

Hi guys!! It's been a while since I've written on Wattpad, especially in this book I mean. It's literally 12am right now, my calendar gave me a notification that this book is now 5 years old!!! Can you believe it? The book's been sitting on the shelf, collecting dust for around 2 and a half years now, but still, a birthday is a birthday no? So I'll write a quick short one for all of you! Hope you guys enjoy!

You woke up to warm sunlight hitting your face. The sweet smell of syrup filling the room as you heard the door creek open." Darling? Breakfast is ready." (B/N) said. You hummed as you got comfortable in the sheets. (B/N) laughed and went up to you." You're lucky I brought you breakfast in bed~" He teased, sitting down next to you on the bed. The sound of a full tray being put on the night table waking you up a little more." For me?" You giggled." Happy birthday, honey." (B/N) said, kissing your forehead.

" So that's the special occasion." You joked, chuckling along with (B/N) as they helped you up." Come on, let's get your teeth brushed before you eat, hm?" They cooed. You nodded and followed them to the bathroom, where you brushed your teeth and washed your face. After that, (B/N) made you sit in bed comfortable and fed you the birthday breakfast they made. You hummed tasting the deliciously sweet pancake." These are really good! What recipe did you use?" You asked." Does the recipe on a box count?" They laughed. You laughed at their response." Yes, it does. Wonderful execution of the recipe, I must say." You smiled.

They smiled and pat your head." I'd do anything for you, hm? Since it's your birthday, we're going to make this extra special! Let's go on a road trip!" (B/N) suggested." A road trip? Where to?" You laughed." Why not to Jeju? It wouldn't be a road trip necessarily, but it's still a trip! Plus, you're on break now! We can enjoy this together, hm?" They said. You gave the idea a thought before agreeing." Alright! How long will we stay there?" You asked." As long as you'd like, darling." They smiled. You nodded and proceeded to finish your breakfast in bed.

Later....

After getting ready and packing up some outfits, it was time to go to the domestic airport! It was still quite early around 8am, so there weren't many people at the airport. You and (B/N) went to book your tickets to go to Jeju Island for 3 days and 2 nights." I am so glad it isn't summer or winter break right now." (B/N) sighed happily." It's nearing winter break though~ but I am glad that we're going there quite early. There's lots of good hotels available still." You said, scrolling through the choices of hotels on your phone." Oh honey, don't worry about the hotels. I've booked them while you were showering." (B/N) smiled cheekily.

You looked at him, surprised." Really? You've really planned this day out, hm?" You raised an eyebrow. They let out a playful laugh and winked." Anything for my beloved." They said. You smiled and hugged their arm." This is one of the many reasons why I fell for you. You plan everything." You laughed." Only for you." They teased, winking at you once more.

A few hours later....

After boarding your plane to Jeju Island, things went as smoothly as it ever could. Your flight had no delays, you got your luggages quickly, travelling from the airport to your hotel was also very quick and easy. You walked into the room that (B/N) booked and you smiled. The room was a romantic couple's suite that even had towel swans kissing on the bed." Honey, this is adorableeee!!” You cheered, hugging them. They laughed, hugging your waist." I figured you'd love this setting, hm?" They said." We should unpack and order some room service. How's that sound?" They continued." Sounds perfect." You said.

After unpacking and eating your late lunch, the two of you changed and went to walk on the beautiful beach of Jeju Island. Clear blue sky, emerald ocean, beautiful flora around you. It was like a painting that you'd paint in an art class. (B/N) hugged you from behind as you enjoyed the sea breeze on your skin." Honey, you look so peaceful right now." They chuckled into the skin of your neck. You smiled, hugging their arms that were around your waist." This is so peaceful.... It's only the start of the trip, but I'm already enjoying it and healing all my stress through this trip seems like an easy feat." You said." I'm glad you like the trip so far." (B/N) said. It was quiet for a while until (B/N) spoke again.

"Happy birthday, (Y/N)... I'm so glad you've been with me for so many years, and I'm so glad that you've held onto me as tightly as you have. Without you, I don't think I would even be where I am today. I love you, (Y/N). Let's be happy together for a long time."
