I wonder, how? How can one person? How can one book? How can one song? How can one show? How can one sentence put you so deep into your feelings that it's like a battle you're trying to fight just to get out? How can that one character make you feel like your heart is about to burst into a million tiny pieces, but rather than coming back together, they create a new image? How can one little thing put you so deep into your mind it's like you're buried six feet under? Dead to the people and things that surround you, but wake you up to another life. A life where it's just you and yourself facing one another. Where your reflection is your untold story and your untold story is your thoughts. How can you be so deep in thought that you're consumed by only that? Where you can see the rope to pull you out, but it's lightyears away, reaching out but out of reach. Hmm, I wonder. How does that work?
