So when you come from the box you already remember your name and you also now who newt is and he knows who you are as well which is his girlfriend. There's going to be a bit of a difference in this book so some of it I made up. so it's not just like the movie there's some bits that are going to be from the movie but some I made up so yeah. This is my first character x reader book, so sorry if it sucks! When the maze was being built, their was a family that snuck in unnoticed. Their family only had three people. The Mother, The Father, and The Daughter. You. But due to the flare your parent's died, killing themselves in hope you would be safe. So you were all alone, stuck in the maze with the grievers. You stayed in the maze for the rest of your life, until people started to show up. You mostly stay away from the gladers, until you save a certain boy that sets your world on fire. Everything you knew started to change. And now you are wanted by W.I.C.K.E.D. So make your choice. When Y/N wakes up in a box with no recollection of her past life, she is greeted by a large group of boys, surrounded in the maze. She quickly makes friends with the gladers, and one in particular. [ NEWT x READER ] [ the maze runner ] VARIANT (noun) var·i·ant /ˈverēənt/ a form or version of something that differs in some respect from other forms of the same thing or from a standard. Y/N didn't want her life to end. She wanted to survive. She was left for dead in the Maze; the endless twists and turns a guaranteed death sentence. Fortunately for Y/N and to the surprise of both the Creators and the Gladers, she beat the odds. Newt didn't want his life to continue. He didn't want to survive. But, just like Y/N, he made it back to the Glade but remains trapped within the Maze's walls. She needs stability. A person to lean on and keep her secure. An anchor within the wild storm she's found herself in. He needs a spark. A flame to keep him warm and alive in the wake of the harsh world around him. The arrival of Y/N forever changes the dynamic of the Glade. Is she the missing piece they've needed, or is she nothing more than another pawn in the Creator's games? "Dr. Paige" we have a problem. "Subject B6 got placed into the wrong maze" Ava Paige glared at he doctor before her. "We can't go in after her, that would mess with the results of the trial. We will have to wait for her to go into the maze" she answered calmly. Y/n woke up in a strange medal cage with the sun shining bright over her. Once her eyes adjusted she saw a group of twenty boys staring down at her. Over the next few months Y/n made the best of her situation, even with no memories she became the light of the glade, even finding love along the way. That was until the maze doors opened for the first time. Y/n volunteered to run the maze as well as three other boys. During her run she got taken by the creatures that lurked through the maze. She woke up in a hospital bed with a boy standing next to her. Thanks to him she was able to make it out of the WICKED compound and she made her way into the scorch. There she met a girl her age, and an older man who took her under her wing. Y/n lived with them in the scorch for three years until one day a group of familiar faces stumbled through the doors.
